A great place to start your day with a fresh chocolate croissant and hot cup of coffee. The breakfast special is only $3.39. the staff is very friendly and helpful. Near the Archives Metro, it's a perfect place to relax while waiting for the museums to open.
Was glad to find available seating as the line was quite long popular lunch place. Was my first visit there. The clam chowder pic included was fantastic, very flavorful and lots of clam bits. Didn't enjoy the tomatoe mozzarella pesto sandwich as much, good cheese and bread but the pesto didn't give it enough flavor imho.
A nice place to get off your feet and enjoy a bit of France in Washington, DC. Pastries and sandwiches made right in front of you are about as good as it gets! You can sit at a table and watch the baker's create works of art out of flour, eggs and dairy. So enjoyed this that we went here two days in a row!
Great pastries. The tart shell could be a little thinner but great taste.
The service is excellent, the music and the ambient are nicer and great for eating. The bread and the soups are fresh. Is one of my favorites places in Washington DC
Ordered the leek quiche to go and a slice of the apple almond tart ate that before I could take a picture. They were delicious! The crust was the best part. Their employees were nice as well. And it was awesome to see the bakers in action.
This is an experience! The pastries are beyond delicious and clearly made with care. While visiting DC for a couple of days, we stopped by on a whim and it was so good we came back the next day! French technique at it's finest... it's safe to say, I am in love with Paul!
Desserts are fairly priced and delightful. They have the sandwich if the day specials but only through weekdays. Definitely worth the trip.
Ah! Love love love this little place! I was trying to find a vegetarian restaurant in the area, but came upon Paul, a little French cafe and I fell in love! I grabbed some french onion soup and a Evian, sat at a little bistro table near the window and enjoyed the heck out of it! Wish there was a Paul where I live!
