Firehook Bakery and Café

Took the metro and passed this place on the way to the Newseum. So glad they were open on Thanksgiving and WOW were they busy. Line went very fast. Yogurt parfait was fresh. Cookies are huge, great price. I had the oatmeal raisin and it was spectacular. Glad they had soda for those of us who don't like coffee.

Love Firehook! Amazing cookies, great coffees, and lovely staff at this location. They seemed to know most of the patrons, and their orders! Located at the top of the metro station it’s super easy to get to and a good stop for visiting the Smithsonian museums.

The Vanilla Chai and Pumpkin Muffin are delicious.

Great place!! Try the mocha brownie frappe for a great treat!!

Firehook Bakery has some amazing cookies and pastries, but on I visited this particular location for lunch when I was on jury duty. I ordered a veggie panini and it was not that great. It was ok but I wouldn't get it again. I'll just stick to baked goods and coffee next time.

The staff here is amazing. I came with two babies and did not expect the level of attention and assistance I received. The baked goods were mediocre, thus 2 stars. But the staff? 5 stars.

A scone and a cup of coffee from here will forever be one of my favorite meals and feelings. So cozy especially in the winter time. I LOVE IT

The coffee and baked goods were great, unfortunately the place is overun with panhandlers. I had to leave, one person after another come right to your table and ask for money. Worth going, just get it to go.

Always worth stopping in when im in the area friendly staff good coffee too
