A great bar with an awesome beer selection and good burgers. Music bingo on Thursday nights and lots of live music on weekends. Shuttle for sports events and concerts. Extremely clean!
We went to Paulie's to watch the Metal Men outdoor concert, we all had a Great time, large crowd, no problems with using the restrooms or getting another drink, good friendly service staff inside and out, definitely will be back, with family and friends. Next time we will try there food entries, they sure looked good, The Metal Men Sounded Great, Thanks Paulie's
Although being a little busy staff was friendly, fast and always checked on us. Food was delicious tried 2 new beers, watched the games on TV's they have, awesome experience. Definitely gotta go back to try more.
Disappointed today. I usually have good food here. But then again I’ve never ordered their patty melt. I’ve never had a patty melt where the meat doesn’t even come close to the edge of the bread. Where is the Swiss cheese? The meal was not worth $11. And a cup of soup does not qualify as a bowl. When I questioned the wait staff, they asked the cooks and were told that’s how it is. When we got the bill for the patty melt, the soup, a soda and one drink, it was over $96. My husband happened to see the charge go across our phone and caught the mistake before the waitress brought the bill to the table so we were prepared. I understand mistakes can be made. It happens. We’re human. But what did disappoint me, was we were not offered a comp for the patty melt meal or anything. The one consolation, my chili tasted good.
Food was good. Step up from normal bar food. Waitress was good and kept us at a good pace so we could catch the shuttle timely. Bar was packed due the band when we got back so we didn't go in because of lack of room. I highly recommend if you are going to a major event to park at Paulies, have a bite and a couple of cocktails. Then jump on the shuttle. They drop you off right in front of venue and are waiting when the event is over. Great experience!
My wife and I recently stopped for a fish fry on 10/7/22 and are very disappointed at what we found. The price for your blue gill fish fry is at best a gouger. the fish was very thin and had a very fishy smell and peculiar taste that stayed with us through the evening and into the next morning. Yes we know prices have gone crazy, help is hard to find, and your profit is far more important than our discord of your pricing. In any event take some advice from someone that's seen it all before, as we sat there and waited for our order and rushed through a plain and simple "poor fish fry" I couldn't help but picture this scene in the near future. Your bar and eatery were not nearly close to the crowd we witnessed that evening. Gone was the many signs offering extra items for sale. Gone was the fancy bus and all the hoopla about things to come. Gone was the enthusiasm of the sparse crowd and no where to bee seen wait staff. Gone was the likelihood that this decline would somehow right itself and things would return to normal. In all the scene I visioned was the near future of greed gone bad. Yes I know you disagree with my vision, after all just look at your intake and you , the future looser must think "no way" we are the eatery that can get away with bad food and still get $65 dollars for a couple of fish-fries. Well enjoy your climb to profits never seen before, for the trend has started. Price gougers will disappear like Paulie in the godfather, someone in your near future will remember " Oh Ya Paulies, You won't see them no more.
The place was busy for a Friday afternoon, and only one bartender and one waitress. I totally understand staffing issues, but we were greeted by the waitress shortly after arriving and got our orders in, recieved our food and beverage and then didn’t see her for a hour. The bar wasn’t too busy, so the bartender came over and got our drinks refilled in the meantime. Otherwise, great place, clean, and plenty of space.
This is a nice place. The bartender service quality is hit or miss. It varies by bartender. My guest have complained consistently about watered down drinks and rude waiters. However, I have not personally experienced the watered down drinks, as I don't drink. As for the rudeness complaints, the bar has a very casual atmosphere and that is reflected in the servers dress and demeanor. For people who aren't accustomed to this atmosphere, who normally frequent cocktail lounges and places the like, they will definitely notice the change immediately and may be detoured from fully enjoying themselves. However, as a venue I have no complaints. There are tons of great musicians on their lineup and I look forward to returning. The sound quality is among the best you will find anywhere in the city and for sure in West Allis. They offer music indoors and out. The sound is always crystal clear. And the entertainment is always decent. So long story short, if you love live entertainment, great quality bar food, and overall a more laxed atmosphere, this is your place! Check out the Cameron Webb Soul and Blues Revue next time you're in the area. The band covers the music and captures the energy of all the great Soul and Blues Bands that came before us. They specialize in Sam Cooke, Marvin Gaye, Temptations, and Ray Charles. But they are not only limited to just those entertainers as their repitour includes hundreds of songs. They are pictured in the interior space.
We ordered the breaded cod fish fry and a sausage/onion pizza. The fish was amazing. Not too much breading, very flaky/meaty & not dripping in oil; it was perfect. The pizza was good too, ordered extra onions & definitely got that. Our watiress Chrystle was great. She greeted us before we even sat down, was prompt with refills, etc. She was on it, a super sweet gal. We'll be back again & again.
The baked cod was good. Had the lemon pepper seasoned bake, very salty in spots. Was able to scape it off which improved it. Chowder was excellent!!!! Will be back. Crystal sp our waitress was wonderful and attentive.
