This place wants 14.99 for a loaded breakfast sandwich and on the weekend their cute little store can’t even handle a 10 am rush. I waited 20 min for a bagel and ice tea. The bagel was barely warm when I got it and the ice tea they didn’t even follow what I asked for. Do better especially if you’re charging those prices in the Fenway area
It’s so nice, ambiance is great near to Fenway park. They have different varieties of tea and decent amount of breakfast options kind of all grab and go, they have outside seating option as wellFood: 5/5
Good but expensive coffee. Spacious and relaxing atmosphereFood: 5/5
I've heard about the quality of their bagels, and was skeptical. It's a bit out of my way, so had not visited until yesterday at about 8am. At first I was not sure they were open - only two other customers were there. With three people behind the counter, there were no problems with service. On this day, there was no orange juice available, which was disappointing. This is clearly a management issue, and indicative of other potential problems which could relate to long term health of the business. The bagels ARE indeed excellent, which almost compensates for their high price. $6.99 including cream cheese, without tip included. At this price point, this isn't really something that would be in the range of a daily indulgence for me. Which is a shame because their bagels are far and away among the best Boston has to offer. The service was fair, not particularly warm or friendly. Perhaps not worth the 20% tip I provided.
The coffee shop is very busy and semi-chaotic. I love the decor and the atmosphere of the shop, the bright colors for the tables and the dim lighting is very comforting. I highly recommend doing online ordering instead of ordering in store.Food: 5/5
The food was great, however, an experience with a rude employee makes customers never want to come back. After patiently waiting 20+ minutes on Marathon Monday for 2 bagels, we only got one and decided to wait a few extra minutes for the other one, keeping in mind they’re busy due to the marathon. My sister Lydia went up after 10 more minutes of waiting to check in on the other bagel and the gentleman making the food around 8am-9am told her we were not missing anything and rudely yanked the receipt out of her hand while she was trying to explain, rolled his eyes, and walked away. Absolutely horrible experience!
Absolutely love it! Good vibes, students hard at work on laptops, friends gathering around lattes and pastries, and very best of all: they’re super vegan-friendly! They have oat milk, while *other* cafés definitely do not. They have vegan cream cheese and butter, and awesome vegan lunch and pastry options. The vegan diablo cream cheese spread had a really nice but not-too-overwhelming kick to it, while the vegan veggie cream cheese spread still had a nice, creamy, delicious taste. I really enjoyed my experience here, I just wish they had napkins when I visited.
I order from here weekly, I’m a creature of habit I get the same thing The Lox. It was made on a cinnamon raisin bagel and I requested an everything bagel. Madeleine literally stood in front of me waiting for me to pull up my order that I couldn’t find. I asked are you going to make another I don’t mind paying she said yes I’ll make it and oh boy did she! It was a mess, cream cheese slapped on in an excessive amount and no Lox, I tell a lie there was one piece of Lox for the whole sandwich. I would have come back but my break was over. I guess it was an ok tomato and cream cheese sandwich. Not happy at all with the service or the sandwich
Large and spacious, Pavement's Fenway location is a good spot for studying, working, or catching up with a friend. It gets packed on weekends though. The drinks are always good. I alternate between their iced chai or matcha lattes. Their food isn't as consistent, but it tastes good regardless. Their prices have gone up within the past year, but I suppose that's the price you pay to support a local business.
Atmosphere: This is a moderately spacious location with various seating options, high seats, cushioned sofas, small tables, long tables, and outdoor seating. There is free WiFi here, with no need to sign up with an email or phone number. There are two single-occupancy restrooms. Ordering: When you order in-store, they yell your name once each part of your order is ready and you pick up the food or drink from the front when it's ready. Coffee: I ordered a Spanish latte, which is a shot of espresso with steamed milk and homemade sweetened condensed milk. It arrived in 5 minutes at noon on a Sunday, but there was coffee on the outside of the cup which I got on my hand as soon as I grabbed it. They also had run out of napkins and took several minutes to restock when I asked if there were any napkins. It has a rich caramel-like taste that I thought went well with the coffee. There is no real latte art if that matters. Food: The tequila sunrise bagel, with bacon, eggs, spicy diablo cream cheese, and pico de gallo came a few minutes later. It was good with a nice light heat, but it arrived really messy. The cream cheese spilled out and made a mess on a third of the bottom of the bagel because it was strangely very watery for cream cheese. I ordered in-store and dined in so it didn't just melt from sitting too long.
