Pavo's Shoe Repair

Wish I could do this without even putting one star on there. Brought my shoes in first week of March. I was told 7 Days. Even paid for the entire job upfront in cash. On day 7 I called and inquired the boots were not ready, I was told the glue is still drying. Day 8 I went up to the shop and saw them sitting on a pile of untouched shoes. I was told these are very difficult shoes to work with. They are Red Wings. A national brand. It shouldn't be that difficult for a shoe and boot repair person. Day9 I was told don't call her I'll call you. Day 10 she wouldn't answer my phone call until I blocked my number requiring her to answer a private call. Finally they're ready on day 12. The job so far looks to be a hack job, they forgot to repair one of the eyelets so now I still can't tie my shoes. The soles have spaces where they're supposed to be glued together. I was told that in 45 years she's never seen something like that. In 25 years of wearing boots and having them repaired, to include while in the military, I've never seen such poor craftsmanship. UPDATE!!-- I took the shoes to another independent shoe repair person who took them apart and found that the woman not only did not install midsoles, she put my shoes together with a substandard glue and drywall screws! I was told she was going to put extra padding in the soles, there was insufficient padding in them. It cost me an extra $50 plus my boots gone for another week totaling a total of three weeks now for a simple one day repair. When I called her and told her that I'm coming up for my money, she actually had the money in her hand and she was waiting at the counter for me as if this is something she does every day.

She had my shoes for weeks. Different story every time I go in. Thurs- laces not delivered until fri.. no problem Fri- laces delivery comes monday... ok... Mon- shoes in special cleaning machine.. right. Wed- laces just got in (not even close match. Pretty sure the same one she showed me day one) shoes clearly not touched yet... "what about that cleaning machine?" The old broken laces were still in the shoes, is that how they go in the special cleaning machine?? I dont mind if it takes longer or cost more but this woman just kept telling me ridiculous lies. Zero stars.

Terrible experience. It took nearly 1 month to get my boots back, she was supposed to replace 6 lace rings. 3 times she promised to have them done by a certain day, 3 times I drove there and she gave me an excuse as to why they weren't done. When I finally picked them up, I got them home and realized she replaced only 4 of the 6 rings. Terrible and dishonest service. Will not go back.

I've tried the other shoes repair places and nobody treats you like Pavo's. The owner has been in business for over 30 years and runs the entire place by herself! She has always been honest with me and fair with pricing. Unlike Gomez show repair, you actually speak to the artist who is going to be repairing your shoes! I will never go anywhere else!!!
