Overpriced food and snacks. And it’s rarely stocked up! Been taking my business to 7/11 cause how low stock they’ve been and how are you going to call it a hatch chili burrito if there is no kick to it!! Also why sell items like ramen if you charge for hot water too? And at the very least provide a fork for such items.
Great place to get all of your office refreshments!
I used to love having one of their markets both at my work office and within my apartment building. It was wonderful at work, used it daily. And super convenient early pandemic to have at my building, so I didn’t have to leave. I’d buy something, or multiple things, almost daily some weeks. But this spring/summer they stopped stocking it with their fresh food and changed to gas station style burritos and sandwiches, which I gave a shot at first, and now I just never want food from them anymore. These new selections are rather disgusting -sandwiches seal in plastic with soggy bread, no veggies, and no good flavor, and unidentifiable mush filled burritos I literally could not tell the varieties apart based on the dog-food-like visual of the fillings - whereas before their food was fresh and wonderful! I occasionally still buy drinks, as I still have a balance on my Peak Market card to spend, but now they can’t keep Pepsi in stock probably not on them, I know it has been out at my grocery store too I just have no desire to even check the market any more. Whenever I do there is nothing I want to buy. Oh and speaking of cards, their reader didn’t work for my Peak Market card for monthssssss. I told my property management about it, and it took forever to be fixed. I would go to buy a drink with my balance and couldn’t. Super frustrating. Eventually I stopped trying altogether. I was not gonna give them MORE money than I already had for their poor selection of overpriced options, especially since they couldn’t seem to fix the method of using my prepaid credit. They say to preload a balance and your items will be discounted prices than paying otherwise, then don’t let you use the credit - Seedy business practice in my eyes.
I'm a facilities professional w/ over 15 years experience in global start-ups so I have used a wide variety of vendors over the years. Refreshment vendors are a tough one to source and very few are stellar and so I always give most the benefit of the doubt. That being said this company was the worst refreshment vendor I've ever dealt w/ in my entire career. Rude and aggressive sales team. Horrible customer service. All in all I would not use them again.
I've tried buying items at the Orchard Falls building in DTC and their machines fail a lot. Order Cancelled, Order Cancelled. There's nothing wrong with my card and the machines don't accept cash even though there's obviously an insert for it. Totally ridiculous concept. No, you can't steal it and you can't pay for it either!
This company replaced the vending machines in our office building, they pitched these healthy eating options which I loved but have since replaced all those options with frozen or generic unhealthy processed food. Very disappointed in the company, I want my chicken satay salad back! Guess I’ll go back to mad greens for lunch. Sounds like this is an ongoing issue with other businesses that have replaced their vending with peak as well. Research and general business practices goes a long way in creating a successful company which Peak lacks unfortunately.
My office has used Peak Refreshments for six months. The service started out with a variety of fresh food offerings like breakfast burritos, sandwiches, protein boxes, etc. They were a great value based on quantity of food, freshness and quality. After a few months Peak replaced all of these items with longer shelf life foods and beverages. It has basically turned into a junk food vending machine. I would not recommend this service any longer.
I am a big fan of the food at Peak Refreshments. There's a good variety of food and it's always fresh. I like the Loaded Baked Potato Bowl and Kickin' Chicken Sandwich. All the prices are fair and the kiosks are easy to use.
Our break room was the one place where we could enjoy some peace and quiet from the busy, fast paced, and loud work floor. Until we got peak refreshments vending machines installed... the food fridge vent fan sounds like it’s breaking down and is extremely loud only a few months in. Honestly ruins people’s relax time. I know some people have emailed them about it, but they don’t seem to care as it doesn’t get fixed.
My Kaiser workplace was excited to have fresh sandwiches and salads from Peak Refreshments. About a month ago they pulled all the fresh food from the refrigerator and became a “beverage only” kiosk. Our employees are extremely dissatisfied with this turn of events. Feels like we are being punished by Peak Refreshments for tiring of the SAME burritos week after week. Fact is, if they had rotated their fresh food items as we were initially told they would then more people would have purchased from them. The SAME foods were offered and business at the kiosk may have slowed but it never halted. Now there are only $3 cans of energy drinks and a few bags of snacks which do not take the place of a meal. Time for the kiosk to go!
