Peaks of Otter Campground is a national campground off the Blue Ridge Parkway that offers tent and RV sites amongst the trees. Each site has a picnic table and fire ring or grill. Bathhouses are available with flushing toilets, but no showers. Bear boxes are scattered throughout the campground and campers are urged to keep food in their cars at night. The campground is in walking distance to Abbott Lake, a quaint lake on which Peaks of Otter Restaurant and Lodge sit as well as Sharp top, a rigorous up-the-mountain hike.

Beautiful, but don't forget to bring your mosquito repellent!

This place was amazing, who wish the hike. There's a bus that'll take you halfway and the hole is a little work if you're out of shape, but the view from the summit is amazing.
