Pearl Chinese Restaurant

My neighborhood Chinese place. Over 18 years the food has always been GREAT! Very consistent. Service great...especially for take out and delivery. I had to give 5 stars for the food but the atmosphere in the restaurant is not very pleasant and needs a change. My go to Chinese take out!

Place is very quiet on a Wednesday 7:30. The restaurant is generally clean, The kitchen had issues getting the sweet and sour chicken and Szechuan beef out together. Probably a good 5 minute wait between dishes...there was only one other table served. The sweet and sour chicken was crispy outside and still juicy inside but the accompanying veggies were subpar. A few chunks of onion, carrots and peppers that were briefly grilled served with cold, canned pineapple chunks. The sauce was the typical premade stuff. Not exactly top quality. The rice was dry and bit over cooked.The Szechuan beef however was quite good, ingredients seemed fresh. We ordered pot stickers, several came to the table a bit burned, the kitchen however was extremely attentive and brought us some fresh ones without us even asking. Overall, with the excellent restaurants in the area, the food quality could be a bit better, the wait staff a bit more energetic, but certainly a good dinner place to try. Wish the place was a bit busier.

Been here few times, and happy with the food each time, very friendly services, the prices are reasonable.

Maybe we just ate here on a bad day for the restaurant or something because it was not good at all... We have herd such great things but were very disappointed. The soup smelled like old dish water, the sesame chicken and sweet and sour chicken seemed stale and had no flavor... so I decided to see if maybe the egg roll would make a redemption for the meal, and of course I was wrong...ive had better frozen egg rolls the grocery store... the best part was without a doubt, the pre-made egg roll
