Have been working for them as a nurse going on 5 yrs. Never, never once have they disappointed me. Dealing with me as a nurse, my schedule and the hours I could work. Always so helpful, I have been in Home Health for over 30 yrs and this is one of the best nursing agency’s by far. And observing the care they give their patients, always understanding, helpful and always available when needed. The office staff, outstanding and the supervisors, outstanding. I would highly recommend my nursing friends to join our team.
Poor and inaccurate communication between office staff. When I went in a year later, all new staff there except the very nice Quality Assurance employee. Very rude Director of Nursing, Robert who believed Yesenia scheduler that I said something that I absolutely did not! He yelled at me over the phone and didn’t first ask what had happened or in this case, nothing had happened. I requested on 2-13-19 through corporate Dallas, TX for Regional Manager Donnie to phone me but as of 12:02 am on 2-16, he has not found the time to do so, which tells me it’s not a priority. There are better agencies out there that treat employees with respect.
Would definitely not recommend if your child has specific needs. Our son was in the hospital for a yr after being born, and upon meeting with Pediatric Home Health, we explained our child's needs. Instead of telling us they weren't equipped to service us, they took us on, and sent one nurse who didn't wash their hands when doing an assessment of his central lines, and had mobility issues to the point she had trouble lifting/handling our 21 lb. son. After declining that nurse, we never heard from the company for almost a week, because our point of contact "went on vacation for the weekend". Needless to say, our son was discharged, and we had no nursing assistance for 2 weeks. The staffing manager was supposed to visit our home on our day of discharge to ensure we settled in ok. She flaked on us. Not even a phone call to say she wasn't coming. Instead we spoke to them the day after discharge, and they passed us off to another company because "they couldn't find a nurse to meet our needs" which they could have told us the day of our initial meeting. Though our needs were quite specific, they weren't uncommon for home health agencies to service. I feel they knew this initially and just didn't want to service us. Time could have been saved. We were quite stressed initially of having to provide nursing care to our son ourselves the day of discharge, as it was alot for us not being skilled nurses. We are able to do so now, but that's after our current home health company care came in, and worked with us to ensure we were comfortable. Pediatric Home Health wanted us to do central line care, dressing changes, and EVERYTHING else ourselves. I'm not sure what we would have been paying them for besides being an expensive babysitter. In closing, this company ghosted on us when we needed them the most. When they realized they didn't want our business, they just flaked, and then called with a referral to another company.
I am currently a registered nurse and have been working for PHH for 9 months. I am happy to work for an agency like this. The staff that works in the office are attentive to our needs as workers and seek solutions to our problems. They are friendly and very professional.
I would not recommend this company to my worst enemy. The staff is rude and disrespectful. They went behind our back to the doctor to try to change my daughter's plan of care. Brittney tried to make my husband and myself jump threw hoops to prove we could take care if her as if we hadn't been doing it for years already. Their nurse was caught taking pictures of our daughter without permission and the company did see a problem with it. They treat you as if you know nothing about your child or their care and want to run everything when it's not their place or business to. Horrible company to deal with when you already have enough going on to need a nurse for your child!
I am currently a registered nurse employee of PHH. I enjoy working for this home health care agency. The office staff is friendly and professional in dealing with the patient and family. They care greatly for their kiddos and nurses. I feel blessed to work for such a great company who is filled with love and compassion for their clients.
Company is very good with communication. Would recommend to anyone with medically fragile kids
Not very friendly people in the offices. They discharged my medically fragile child all because i wouldn't take their call when my son was in the E.R. room.
we don't like this company they don't have good nurses some night nurses fall asleep and not good take care of babies they took the baby stuff
This company goes above and beyond for their families!
