I am very particular about my nail shape and I am glad I had the opportunity to have Jenny do my nails twice. The first time was a gel manicure and the second time I had a dip manicure. She takes her time in making sure my nails are square and sharp. I also have no problem setting up appointments or walking in if I’m in a rush. And on another note I appreciate gel manicures being $35. It’s so affordable especially when everything else in this life is now expensive.
Moved neighborhoods and I wanted to find a new local nail spot. So happy I walked in here! My nail tech did a lovely job with my dip nails, and my friend got a gel French mani. As a nurse I wash my hands hundreds of times a day and the dip has held up beautifully! They also made me a delicious cup of coffee to enjoy while getting my mani! They had a fabulous selection of nail colors as well! Prices are really reasonable too! $66 for dip mani, and brow waxing not including tip. I’m happy to have found my new regular spot!Service: Manicure
Horrible horrible horrible horrible! This has been the worst experience ever. The customer service here iterribl.! IThey take otcat the time of your appointment and then lie about making the appointment. They will soak your feet just to keep you from leaving and act like you will be serviced right away and you will wait in cold water while they try to push refreshments. Today I brought my male friend in for a pedicure. After waiting passed our appointment time that I scheduled 2 weeks in advanced in cold water and young lady come over and starts his pedicure. She rushed through and cut all of his cuticles and cut all his nails down until his toenail bed was exposed. When I brought this to the managers attention. He refused to acknowledge it and began to ask why did he get a manicure then if it was so wrong it is fair then he proceeds to tell me thats how men pedicures all are then his two minions come over and co-sign. If you want to walk out with a toenail I suggest you never enter the door of this place. They do not own up to their mistake. Today was a sad my friends birthday treat was ruined and there were no apologies for this.Services: Manicure
They do not respect customer's time. I rather put down a deposit than have to wait 30 minutes with my feet in water. They consistently misleading on wait time. They only honor appointments for certain customers. They don't clean after customer well, barely spraying the foot bowl, sponges look like they need replacing. This business just keep going down hill. I don't even want to leave a tip I'm soooo frustrated but it's not all the technicians fault. When did getting a simple mani pedi become such a hassle. I've been coming here for 4 years and it's been time to find a better establishment!Services: Manicure
This has became my new go to spot for nails. Good price and great service. I don’t remember their names but there are two ladies in here they do outstanding nails.
This is home to me! I have been going here regularly for a couple of years now for pedicures plus foot massages. The technicians are friendly and love what they do. Customers are offered free water, wine, and delicious Vietnamese coffee, which is my favorite. On those rare occasions when there is a wait, I chose to wait!
I was looking for somewhere close to my house that did gel manicures on the cheaper end, and found Pen Nails. The reviews seemed good so I gave them a last-minute call and they said to swing on down. All I can say is that I left very impressed and satisfied. Diana she ROCKS! did my nails, and put a lot of care and attention into cleaning the old gel off and applying the new one. It's been about 2 1/2 weeks as of writing this review, and seriously, aside from the unavoidable nail bed grow-out, my nails are in perfect condition. The gel never cracked and my nails still look fantastic. Honestly, this could probably last 3 weeks easily. Not to mention they give you a complimentary glass of wine! I'd 100% recommend this salon. The staff is friendly, Diana has me hooked as a regular and the price is crazy affordable. A++
I usually go to Pen Nails and Spa on Pennsylvania Ave in Eastern Market and I love them. Never had any issues, love that they give a free drink even wine during service, and always get a good mani/pedi at a good price. However, I would NOT recommend them during the pandemic. Sure, they have plastic shields placed, but they are still seating every seat/station so there isn’t 6 ft between you and the other person next to you getting nails done; when my pedicure was done, they just literally wiped out the water basin - no spray, no sanitizer, no deep clean! They didn’t even spray the chair I was sitting in where I touched multiple times or the massager remote... which probably means they didn’t spray it after the person before me! also, while I was drying and the nail technicians were just hanging out in their stations they took their masks off - even though we were still inside, even though customers were still present, even though they weren’t in a back room or area they couldn’t be seen. I normally love them, but won’t be visiting there again.
My regular technician, Annie, was off the day I visited. I did not like the pedicure, so I did not get a manicure, even though, I needed one. She did not perform the service with the same care or attention as Annie does. Are all of the technicians licensed? The service she performed had me wondering if she was licensed. I will definitely go back, but only let Annie do my manicure and pedicure.
