Pensacola Library

Absolutely awesome library!! STEAM lab is so amazing! To offer so much learning for free is unheard of today! The staff love their job and it shows in their teaching of all things! We especially love Chris’s story telling!!! What a gift to Pensacola to have so many resources and activities that promote a thirst and love of learning!!

This library is stuck in the 90s, doesn't even come close to being on par with most city library's when it comes to keeping up with current technology and capabilities. And on top of all that, they don't even have any resources materials for college classes, cleps or dsst. Literally the only reason I'd ever vist a library is for additional study material text books for my classes, not even a single clep book. This place is pathetic and deserves to be shut down.

There's a lot of homeless people that hang around there. It's very unnerving how they stare at the young women while everyone's trying to read. The place would be perfect otherwise, but the amount of homeless people there really take away from the place's charm. It doesn't feel very safe when you can clearly see them eyeing your daughter.

Wonderful staff! Handled the eclipse event with calm resolve amongst a lot of complaints. The tone and demeanor of the staff set for a very good, relaxed, and friendly event. I appreciate them being willing to take suggestions for future library events, such as handing out tickets at open as people come through the door. Still 5 stars because no events are perfect.

"Having fun isn't hard when you've got a library card." But seriously, this place is pretty cool. Thousands upon thousands of books, friendly staff, nice building, plenty of places to sit with some outlets for laptops, public/private rooms for studying and meetings, and more. The selection is definitely more older books, however there's still some cool stuff there and their online catalog is extremely helpful.
