Penske Truck Rental

This is my second time using Penske for a major move. Once 14 years ago from Michigan to Maine, and one week ago from Maine to Chicago. I picked up my truck and the interior was IMMACULATE. I have never rented such a clean truck. The outside was washed, and there was very minimal damage. Penske fleets are newer than the other guys, so I will continue to use them. Both Portland offices were helpful, especially Davis on Warren Ave. Highly recommended!

Great trucks, and they handled my schedule gymnastics with aplomb. I recommend you call Penske first.

I’d give it 0 stars if I could. Worst customer service I have ever experienced. I will never rent from Penske again. UHaul is better. Budget is better. We also rented a car dolly to tow my car. The thing was so porely designed it almost dropped my car while driving down the interstate TWICE. The thing also has these edges that stick up and would tear off my bumper as soon as I drove up on it. We had to rig it with wood to make an additional ramp to lift it up. Complete waste of money and it almost cost me my vehicle. Barbra at the Warren Avenue location was rude and called us on the phone freaking out because she took incorrect notes as to how long we would keep the truck. Upon returning the truck after agreeing to ‘X’ amount she comes up with almost $400 EXTRA of undisclosed money she wants us to pay for extra insurance that was NEVER brought up or discussed when we sat down and agreed upon our “per day” rate. Absolutely horrible customer service. Rude. Unprofessional. Disrespectful.

Truck wasn't ready, lady had to finish cleaning inside the cab, truck that we were suppose to get was given to someone else, passenger door didn't seal & wind noise was a pain, did haul uphill pretty good ! There is a shaking up about 65 mph ! Could have had some floor tie down brackets to tie down motorcycle, side wall doesn't cut it !

Love this Penske truck rental location! Very flexible and great to work with and their prices are super! Highly recommend!!!

We were able to use discounts and pick up the truck right in town with only a few days notice

Sign on front points to the side entrance, sign on the side entrance seems to point to the front. Key box is not very visible.

No better place to rent, Barb is great!
