PENZONE Salon + Spa Short North

I booked this place for Hair and Makeup services for my wedding day. I was SO IMPRESSED with how the day ended up. It was so nice to sit with my girlies at the bar and hang out while we waited for our turns. I had 9 people including me get hair and airbrushed make up done in less than 4 hours! They also have me the option to pre-order food for everyone so that we could stay well fed. Definitely would recommend for a salon bridal experience! P.S. Dion and Chey are absolutely wonderful and made me feel so beautiful on my big day!

I had a wonderful visit with this salon. The people there are very kind and compassionate. I had a situation with someone outsider cancelling my appointment without my permission - yet the salon still fit me in - and helped me get to the bottom of what happened. They made me feel wonderful on my special day, despite that snafu. Larryn is a very kind and good manager that helped remedy the situation. I can't remember the name of the young lady who did my hair but she did the most wonderful job and made me look beautiful for my special event. I came to Penzone to get my hair dyed and left with nothing having been done to my hair. My appointment was originally scheduled at 2:30pm, and I was not seen until 4:05pm. I understand things happen, but I wish I was notified as to not spend an hour and a half sitting in the salon. I would have been just fine arriving later. During this time waiting, my stylist did come over once to ask me what I wanted, looked at my hair, and assured me it would not be much longer. Yet, I waited another 45 minutes after this interaction. I want to acknowledge that I very much appreciate the woman working the front desk at this time for her kindness. She gave me a coffee and kept reassuring me I would be seen soon. When my stylist finally got me into the chair, she looked at my hair and gave me two options that were very drastic and different from the reference photos I showed. She also indicated that she had another appointment at 6pm, so she would only have had an hour and a half for my hair. I felt persuaded to leave the salon, as my stylist did not have nearly enough time to do anything to my hair. I understand reference photos can set unrealistic expectations, but I was offered no options that could realistically be completed in the time I was given. Overall, just saddened by the lack of communication as this is a beautiful salon with seemingly friendly staff members.Service: Hair coloring

I had my first experience at Penzone tonight and everyone was so wonderful! Aria did a wonderful job on my color. She was kind, professional, and friendly. Cheyenne at the front desk helped me with an issue I had with a gift card I had. She was super helpful and kind as well. I’d recommend this salon to anyone!Service: Hair coloring

First time to this salon and I was really impressed with the size and layout. There's even a bar! Everyone was incredibly friendly and Dion was a rockstar!! If you're looking for a new stylist, she's who you want.

Kathryn suggested I try GelX nails bc I never have any luck with acrylics. Love them!!! 3 weeks in they are all still on and no chipping. I am very active with hands so pretty nails just never last on these hands, but these Gelx are awesome and worth it. Look forward to changing up my color!Service: Pedicure

Went in for a simple haircut and asked for slight face framing/ angle around face and hair length between shoulders and collarbone. specifically said NOT curtain bangs. Stylist immediately cut curtain bangs ABOVE MY CHIN. they could tell i was not happy but unfortunately the cut was already made. Not to mention they repeatedly called me by the wrong name the entire service. Would not go here for a haircut and will not be returning.Service: Haircut

My wife got me a 90 minutes massage as a surprise and it was phenomenal!! Completely one of the best massages I’ve ever had!

I used to go to the one down by Gahanna then I moved and this one was way closer! I wish I never stepped foot in this place! Horrible customer service and they completely disregard my request! Dave yourself the headache and go elsewhere!

I typically will go here for nails and have loved the service. The entire shop is a super great team and I've never had issues. Last week I had a cut and highlights and it was not great. My appointment was half an hour late - which I DO NOT care about, but I was a little annoyed when nobody said anything about being behind for 25+ minutes. Next, my stylist only did half a head of highlights when it was a full appointment, they were about an inch away from my roots, uneven application & spotty. My hair is also orange. I literally never post reviews but definitely recommend researching your artist before booking.Services: Hair highlighting
