Don't go to the office in Portland Maine. They have changed their rules about their brakes you are now supposed to ask the breaker for a break if you don't you don't get a break that is not how it's supposed to work they pay a breaker to break people that means it goes in rotation. They like to hold everything over your head and then when you have a problem and you bring it to their attention they do not care they tell you to hand grow up and be men and handle it yourself. This is not how a company is supposed to work I am fed up when having a breaker on the site and not getting brakes when I am a breaker I give everybody a break I go to them I do not make them come to me. This is how I was taught to be a breaker and a fair breaker at that.

I started working for people ready a little over a week ago I was told by Trevor at the office that I would be paid daily every day even weekends because somebody will be there to check the email. I work this past Saturday overtime my sixth day in a row and I never received my money. I tried to contact the branch and received one email back from Sarah the branch manager who terminated me because I was stressed and sent quite a few emails and voicemails trying to get somebody to call me back so I can get my pay that was promised to me by Trevor when I was hired. The one email I did receive back from Sarah the branch manager stated that you won't get paid daily sometimes and daily pay isnt a promised. I was lied to to get me in and once I was in everything changed, I tried to contact Trevor Saturday morning nobody answered the phone and nobody called me back even though the internet said they had hours and they were open on Saturday. Be cautious when taking a job with these people, this not only happened to me but it happened to another co-worker last Monday.

It looks like they tried changing their name. It won't change their reputation. The counter hags are evil. If you're not a homeless drunk and/or drug addict you don't stand a chance of getting sent out. They have their favorite alcoholics to send and could care less what your qualifications are. They hated me because I had a car so they had no choice to send me somewhere since no one else has a vehicle. I didn't last long there before someone hired me permanently. They were charging my boss $19 an hour and paying me $9. We both agreed that was stupid. Not to mention they hate paying you on time. I was stuck sleeping in my car in Biddeford once because they put my money on the wrong card and couldn't fix it till the next day, even after I had told them that morning I didn't have the gas to get back. Wouldn't surprise me if she did it on purpose.

The office will get you set up with good work, and as many hours as you need. Paid daily, sometimes real nice pay. Smart way to find full time job without commitments. Meet plenty of characters. The bad apple reviews on here are unfortunate to see but often you get what you give. They helped me help myself when I moved into town and I don't ever forget my debts of gratitude. Figured I'd share my experience, which has been nothing but positive

Does not employ everyone, if you mess up on the MIT test you do not pass go and do not collect a job.

Both my wife and I have worked for and with people ready for years at locations all over not every location is gold but this location is the worst hands down. They once didn't pay my wife four nine weeks for a job she called three times a week every week with no response left messages sent emails the one time she showed up they were closed randomly in the middle of the day with no posting or response and it wasn't a normal lunch time she waited around for 40 minutes. They claim that they haven't had jobs and every job has been picked right up but there are six of us that watch jobstack everyday and not a single job has come out of Portland onto jobstack four of us are listed at addresses within 20 miles. Funny thing is Central Dispatch sent out a text on behalf of Portland to me but they are telling my wife that there has been nothing. She has more experience in more things than I do she has everything short of electricians plumbers and forklift drivers license. They claim they are so busy but I have showed up and there is legitimately doing nothing and not answering the phones they say to text both my wife and I have texted and emailed with no response and left several voicemails with no response. My wife got through on the questions line and was yelled at for going through the emergency line which she did not I was there. And then I had to hear this morning how she left a message and she still got a whole bunch of attitude. If my wife is going to be a bee to anyone it's going to be me she will lay it all out there and say hey this is frustrating something's up what do we do she want Solutions not excuses considering she let 9 weeks go by on pay without losing her damn mind I think she's been more than patient these people need to wake up and be more professional it's pretty sad when even Lawrence is more professional than this they might not answer their phones or return messages but at least they get the stuff done that you are calling about and the two times we've ever had an issue with Lawrence the manager called and apologized personally and considering the reviews I've just read I'm thinking this is a regular occurrence Portland you give peopleready a bad name

Horrible bunch of rude people that lie and have you commit to jobs then Remove you as soon as you make plans. Zero stars!!! The lady. At the desk has removed me from the schedule everyday I worked here and gave my job to a homeless drug addict!! Worst fake temp company I have ever seen. Do yourself a favor and work somewhere else! This is a recovery center for homeless people with a rude heartless b@#ch taking you off the schedule for every job you get!

I literally just called this place to find out if they had work and I just had to move towards the Portland area so I wanted to switch my information the crazy lady told me do not call her office and she hung up on me and told me that she will call me back when she feels like it however I didn’t leave any information she didn’t know my name or anything there’s people out here hurting that are looking for work and it’s people like her that act like devils she was very rude and I will be contacting corporate office today

I've been waiting for a month to get paid. I tried to call the office to try to resolve this but Catherine told me I can only text and would hang up on me! She is very rude and unprofessional! I have been texting and they tell me they Will let me know when my hours get there but how long am I supposed to wait? I did everything I was supposed to do and now they make it seem like it is my fault! I would never recommend them they don't Care about there employee's or if they get paid they only Care about there own pay check!

Wow the ladies who work here are a real prize and super unprofessional. Im sure this will get taken down but the scabs who run this place are so trashy and look like theyre all on drugs. My boyfriend will not even get paid half the time. Carol should definetly be reprimanded about her unprofessional behavior and be fired as she doesn't even look like she can keep her eyes open. What a joke of a work place...
