My gut was telling me that my car battery needed to be replaced and so I booked an appointment at pep Boys in Sunnyvale. Front desk could be a little more attentive, took him awhile to acknowledge I was there. Dhruth was my mechanic for the day, took about 2 1/2 hours to replace my batteries, oil change and filter change. He did an amazing job and feels like my car is good as new. Would definitely recommend the mechanics here. My only down side is the front desk, if i hadn't asked when my car would be ready after 2 hours I don't think they would if told me.
Was able to schedule same-day install of two new tires! The process was efficient - it took around 1 hour to complete Pep Boys is located in a shopping center you can roam around in, or there's a waiting room. I had some questions about the results of my complimentary inspection and the representative was very patient and helpful in answering.
I scheduled a synthetic oil change and free tire rotation online. When I checked in my vehicle, I confirmed that that those were the services I wanted. I unfortunately signed the work order without looking at it carefully. When my car was ready and I went to pay for it, the total seemed unreasonably high for an oil change $100. I looked at the work order and saw that they had snuck in "Fuel system cleaner" for $29.89. When I complained, I was told that it was "part of the package". Well, I didn't ask for a "package". I just asked for an oil change. Since I admittedly signed the work order before they started, I went ahead and paid for it, but I feel that this was very underhanded. I won't be bringing my car back here.
Took my vehicle in February asked Tech to check squealing brakes and also fuel cap/ fuel pump. Was told brakes were fine. Ding on door. Took car in again, to have car checked as it was idling too high, and also to check brakes. Was told brakes were fine. Took car in last week Novemberand was asked "are you ready for the bad news?" Was then told brake pad were worn down so much that I now need brake pads and rotors. I honestly don't think Technicans even checked brakes in the Spring when asked. I'M FUROUS! Will never take my car there again.
took super long for service 4hrs to not resolve TPMS issue. cost a lot. did not fix the issue, said only dealership could resolve. had they told me that BEFORE charging me $200 and wasting a day of my life, 4star. But, took half a day to NOT fix the problem, and charged me a lot. never going to pep boys again.
Prepare to wait for more than 4 hours in store even if you have made an regular maintenance appointment. The appointment doesn't guarantee the service time. I just waste a whole morning for an oil change.
Terrible service. Front desk staff was very rude. No communication on what my car needed or what service was provided. Recommend repair was not communicated or offered to be fixed. Let me drive off with “cracked belts”. Won’t be back.
Great coupon prices. The online service monitoring process is a great idea but doesn't work if you just check off the boxes only AFTER the work is finished. The cashier stated that the work would only take an hour but it took 3 hours.
I needed wiper blades and I had no idea on the subject matter of wiper blades. Thanks to Julian help and patience, the adventure was hassle free and knowledgeable. As Julian installed my wiper blades he also showed me how to replace them.
Travis was a pleasure to work with. He has an upbeat attitude, is helpful in explaining the service options, and was attentive to our concerns. We'll come back here for our next oil change.
