Went in last week after making an online appointment, and they said their online booking system doesn't work, so I rescheduled in person to go this past weekend. The appointment was at 2 and I was told it might take a couple hours despite having an appointment, so I go take care of a couple errands and come back 2 hours later, at 4, and was told they just started working on it, but it was still parked out where I had left it. I couldn't wait any longer, and thought that giving them 2 hours for an oil change was very reasonable. Had to take my car back without getting an oil change at all, no service, appointment didn't make any difference, bad experience all around.
I've been going to Pep Boys for a while and they've always been honest and provide exactly what I need for the car. This last time I got new tires, specifically a kind I like to buy but they also told me I was due for a new battery, which was true since another shop I just visited also said the same for an almost 5-year old battery. Therefore I was able to add that job on with tires last time. The only problem was, I ended up waiting there over 4 hours for the job to get done, it seems like all of that should've taken less time but the techs also have to wait for the correct parts to arrive from the warehouses if any. I guess that's how it is when there's a shortage of workers everywhere too. Keep up the fine service!
Went in for oil change and was going to wait. They at first said they didn’t have a filter that fit my car so were going to send me home. I’d have had to come back the next day. They were offering to discount the service. Totally fine with me, even without the discount. Things happen! They ended up having the filter and still gave me a discount for the inconvenience. And the car came out running so smoothly!
I had just moved to Denver from Washington state and got a slow leak on my second day driving down. Went to a couple places and was turned away, as they were too busy. This Pep boys location squeezed me in and patched the nail for free! So when got my next screw same tire three months later was unable to be patched, they ordered and got tires the next day and got me in and out! Kyle working the counter was nice and accommodating and helpful.
On June 11th, I took my car in because my rear right tire was having issues holding air. They took the tire off, told me nothing apparent was wrong with it and put it back on. When I left my appointment my tire pressure light was still on. I didn't think much of it because sometimes it takes an hour or so of driving to turn off. Last weekend 8/14 I took my car to Tires Plus because my tire pressure light had been on since I left the shop on 6/11. Tires Plus inspected and said I no longer had a tire pressure sensor there. They recommended that I go back to Pep Boys to explain the situation for hopefully a discount. When I arrived to Pep Boys last Sunday 8/14, one of the workers agreed to waive the labor cost. They said I still had to pay for the part to fix it and they would get the part from a sister location the next day 8/15. So I schedule an appointment for a week later 8/21 at 9am. I arrived on 8/21 and they said they would give me a call when it was complete. I waited in the lobby for six hours, watching people come in after me and leave with their cars fixed. At 3pm I went up to the counter to request an ETA for the job. After about 10 minutes, one of the workers informed me they didn't have the part and they wouldn't be able to get it until tomorrow 8/22. The woman I spoke with yesterday said to reach out to the service manager because maybe I can get some free oil changes or an additional discount. I am extremely frustrated because I left the shop on my first appointment with a new issue and I've had to come back twice with no resolution to my problem. The service manager still hasn't gotten back to me, even after I followed up. I recommend using Tires Plus or somewhere else so you don't walk away with new problems on your car.
Unbelievable Customer Service! The kind you only read about but these guys are the real deal! A New Battery at five o'clock and in and out in less than half an hour. They stand behind their Products and their Service! Philip and Barry, the Manager, Thank You! I cannot recommend this Pep Boys enough!!!
I made an appointment the afternoon before and when I arrived they were ready for me. I was greeted by Rian who took very good care of me. They changed out my battery and I was on my way in 40 min. Very satisfied with the service.
Pep Boys got my Nissan Rogue an oil change done quickly when I dropped it off on short notice and also identified that my tire pressure sensor batteries were dead which was causing incorrect tire pressure readings on the dashboard. There quick service and expert analysis really helped me sort out the issues I was experiencing with my vehicle!
Was told in September that I needed a tire rotation at my next oil change. Scheduled an oil change and tire rotation, and made sure to tell them at time of drop off that I wanted both. When I picked my car back up, they told me the tires had been rotated but I would need new tires soon because the wear was very uneven between the front and back, which was probably due to not having my tires rotated often enough. I was surprised, because I have it done every time it's suggested. When I checked my tires at home, I realized they had not been rotated as the front right tire was the same exact pressure as it was when I dropped it off and was higher than the rest. I called the store and was told that my tires had not been rotated because they didn't need rotation and they weren't sure why I was told they did. Clearly, someone is not doing their job, and I'm being told different things by each different person. I'll now need to buy new tires a lot earlier than I should because who knows how many times I requested a tire rotation and didn't get it. This is just the latest in a string of poor service and communication experiences with Pep Boys on Broadway, but this will be the last.
I had road hazard insurance however, they would not honor it. I bought the tires through another Pep Boys but their systems don’t communicate. They said I needed to have a receipt on me and that they could not look at it through their computer system. When I called the original store they said oops. They made a mistake when they talk to them on the phone and said they would call them and work it out. I was still charged because I did not have the receipt on me. I made an appointment so that weight time would be minimal. However, my wait time range they gave me after I arrived was three hours which defeats the purpose of making an appointment. I will never ever give them my business again.
