Pep Boys

I contacted Pep Boys on N. Tryon because I had a leak in my left rear tire. I called and spoke with Aaron and asked if I could bring it in and I was running late. He said yes he would look at it. I got there 10 minutes before closing. He was efficient and kind hearted by checking my tire, removing my tire and offering me a new tire. Alex assisted with putting a new tire on my car even after the shop closed. The service at this location was amazing and I will definitely recommend to anyone! Thank you again Aaron & Alex for such great service!!!

Came in yesterday to get a nail removed from one of my tires, the gentleman at the counter said there was an hour wait and the removal/repair would take around 30-45 minutes. I didn’t have that much time so I made an appointment for the next day, no big deal. So I arrive for my appointment on time and after an hour of waiting they finally start working on the issue. What was the purpose of the appointment?

This is the worse Pep Boys ever. This company has had my vehicle for over 3 weeks. They text and say your vehicle is ready. Drive 2 hours to pick up car and the tire was flat. We were missing 2 lug nuts. Instead of the company purchasing or Offering they say, hey you need lug nuts. So now not only have we drove 2 hours, we take another 30 minutes where Oreillys explain the difference in lug nuts with designer rims. So not only were they about to send us out the door with a 2 hour drive so the wheels could pop off, they didn't even know this was an issue! Frustrated beyond reproach. This would get no stars if it was an option!

Kyle gave great customer service. This locations staff is friendly, consistent and efficient. Our vehicle was ready when promised. Kyle went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied and safe.

Website and Google both say this location is open Sunday from 9am to 6pm but it was closed when I showed up at noon. I was trying to pick up a tire I ordered online to replace the spare I'm driving on. Obviously, I couldn't since they were closed.

Car wasn't repaired in a timely manner. Hand prints were left all over my vehicle. I was contacted about status updates. I took 5 days to replace a cable. I had to threaten to come up there and sat in their lobby until my repair was done. It was finally fixed right before I arrived. Which is ridiculous. You are playing with people lively hood and causing them to spend unnecessary money when times are already hard.

So I was running in this restaurant down the street to get some lemonade and this kid ran behind me and yelled, “Hey!! Your tire is going flat!” I was like, “No wayyyyyy” I ran outside and saw this huge bolt stuck in my tire.. literally can hear the air coming out! I hopped in my Jeep pulled off looking for a tire shop nearby, luckily on the dash, it’ll tell you how much time you got left until you gotta pull over and it’s a Jeep so there was enough air for me to make it to the shop. I started to panic because it was after 6pm and literally all the tire shops were closed, then I realized, PEP BOYS!! They don’t close until 7pm I pulled right up and the guys walked right up before I even got out the car, as if they knew I needed help lmaoo. I told them what was going on, they looked at the tire and immediately pulled my Jeep in and started working on it. He took the tire right off, plugged it up and popped it right back on in less than 10 minutes! Im so grateful for the guys at Pep Boys! They definitely looked out for me, especially since it was last minute! Superior customer service! I’ll definitely come back again!

I was already upset that I was having to pay $900 for a starter, but mortified qhen I picked up my car to see things had been stolen from the inside as well as damaged. I will never trust Pep Boys with my car again due to the experience. I've posted pictures of the condition of my car. The Manger says that someone stole from several customers cars. I was confused because no one cared to check the vehicle for missing or damaged items that most likely wouldn't have happened if they didn't leave my car unlocked. There wS an iPhone charger found that doesn't belong to me and you would have to have a key to charge a phone. I'm outraged and will never use their services anywhere ever again

I have been using this shop for my car for awhile and I am very satisfied with the service. Aaron the manager makes sure everything necessary is done for the car and at a reasonable price.

Pep boys helped me out of a major jam when I was about to head out of town and I suffered a flat the evening right as I was departing. The team was able to squeeze in my emergency request to mount my tire on a very early and busy Saturday morning and give me a ride with my replacement wheel and tire back to my vehicle so I could get on my way. Thank you Pep Boys!
