I’ve had multiple really positive experiences with this place, and especially with Jimmy. I was getting ready to do a coolant and brake flush per Tim Dalhe’s service reps, but Jimmy and his crew did a dip test to check acidity and it came out great. They said I didn’t need it yet. They further helped me fix loose lug nuts from the last tire rotation that the other guys did. 5 stars!
Very disappointed in Pep Boys. Took my car in for a rotation and alignment. Drove an hour each way to get to this location because it was the closest place I could find that would do a lifetime warranty on the alignment. They told me they wouldn't rotate the tires because they were between 3/32 and 4/32 and I technically wouldn't pass a safety inspection if the state still required inspections. I pulled up the state inspection manual and it said it would fail if it was 2/32. When I brought that up they said it was their company policy. So apparently, the story changed. They told another customer the same thing while I was standing there and so they wouldn't rotate his either. Then comes the alignment. They told me my rear camber adjustment was out and my car didn't come stock with the bolts to adjust it so they couldn't do the alignment either. I took it to big o tires where they rotated the tires and did the alignment. They said nothing about it not having the rear bolts. So big o tires got my business and the car rides a lot better than before.
Sam and the boys were fantastic with their customer service! My car went in for a standard emissions test and it was done within the hour which is great for a walk-in apt at a complete shop. The small problems they noticed were brought up during check out. Overall, a great experience was had here.
Sandy Pep Boys has always been my go-to shop! They have spectacular customer service. They are very down to Earth & nearly always manage to fit me in their schedule in a timely manner. They try to be reasonable with both my time & cost, often doing work while I am at plasma donation next door. Miguel is my favorite, he's super easy to chat with... Alex is also polite & knowledgeable. They are happy to show you first hand what is really going on with your car &explain what the best options are-even if they might not be the best solution once in awhile. They genuinely want the best for their customers, plus... to make LONG Term customers! It's not just "a sale" for these associates, it's actually a building of trust with them. Frankly, even if you pay a little more for the hourly rates-its worth it!
Can’t recommend this Pep boys enough. James was awesome, came out and looked at my tire that needed replaced, explained everything, walked me through my options, and then they got it done in 20 minutes. Third place I went to, and they handled it like pros. James was super polite, professional, and helpful. Really appreciate your excellent work!
I came in on a Sunday with no appointment. I knew I needed a valve stem replaced but beyond that had no idea what to ask for. Moses and Jimmy were so kind and helpful. They went above and beyond trying to help me find the right valve stem and and even though it took me two trips entirely my own doing, we were able to get it done. Thank you so much for your help and genuine kindness!
Jimmy provided excellent service during my appointment. We had some hiccups on the parts for my wheel and tire installation, but he was easy to work with and he made sure that I was taken care of. I normally don’t go to pep boys, but, I had a great experience here.
We bring our fleet vehicles to this particular Pep Boys location because they do an excellent job of serving our fleet. Good customer service is sometimes hard to come by but these guys are great. We will keep coming back for more!
Horrible service. I took advantage of the buy 2 get 2 free cooper tire promotion and thought I’d have them do the alignment as well. They installed the tires and quoted me near $800 more for new tie rods stating they would couldn’t do an alignment with bad tie rods. They assured me they would do a preliminary alignment to make sure it was straight in the meantime. When I went to install new tie rods myself I saw they had done nothing, no tool marks, rusty cotter pin was still intact. I thought whatever, replaced the tie rods and got an alignment done then found wheel weights fell off the truck in the garage. Called them back for another appointment for the following Friday. They then proceed to cancel my appointment saying they were too booked and bumped me to Monday, no big deal. Monday comes and when I go in they say they can’t find me on the schedule and the front desk guy acts like he can’t get me in. I see that all the mechanics aren’t doing anything with no cars in the bay and ask them to balance my tires. I come home to double check everything. Lug nuts were not torqued to spec, tires were inflated to 50 psi, and they didn’t even reinstall my cotter pins after the alignment. All in all these guys are liars, overpriced, incompetent, rude, and cause double/triple work when they could’ve done it right the first time.
This was my 3rd time coming to this location, and the guys I have seen each time are super helpful and informative. They got my service done quicker than expected, which was really nice. Sam was really nice as well. My one suggestion would be to add hot chocolate to the Keurig station, because I don't like coffee. But seriously, these guys are awesome.
