A fun bar experience. The service is great, they will meet you at the top of the stairs and you can wait for a table. We got cocktails and a charcuterie board. Both were delicious. The atmosphere is great, dim lighting, great for date night.
Very cool place! Loved their food and their drinks. When you come in there's a tiny little area where you give your name to get a table and then wait outside until they text you to tell you that they have a table for you. Since the front of the restaurant is so tiny, is easy to miss, but they are next to the Cleaners. The restaurant is underground and cool looking. They don't have a ton of options for food but what they have available is really good!
First off, I love the location and how intimate this place is. I highly recommend the oysters as they are fresh and delicious. Despite a long wait for the drinks, which is understandable considering it was peak hours on a Friday night, the cocktails were perfect and the prices reasonable. The staff was friendly and accommodating. The host was very friendly and recommended some places around town to check out.
Moody little basement bar that looks like a comfortable bunker. Drinks are solid, food choices are limited no desserts????, but the cheese and charcuterie board was Great spot for a date.
This is a cool spot. I wouldn’t come with more than 1 or 2 others because it is small! The staff is very nice and it doesn’t have the pretentious vibe that some trendy cocktail places have. I highly recommend checking it out. Drinks are pricey but atmosphere makes up for it.
Pepe le Moko is a very chill, speakeasy, type lounge that after checking this place out alone, it definitely seems best for couples, first dates, group hangouts, etc. I was there visiting solo from Wilmington NC, so I chatted with two bartenders that were pretty friendly and offered good suggestions for checking out DT Portland. I had two drinks the grasshopper and a lemon sour amaretto which were made well, and did not disappoint. I also ordered the deviled eggs, which were just okay to me, but I bought them mainly because the cute blond waitress suggested them. The price did not bother me at all, it's a cocktail bar. I'm giving it five stars because I would've went back if time allowed.
Excellent cocktails and delicious snacks. The Toronto cocktail was perfectly executed with the perfect aromatic accent from the orange to complement the fernets
This place is more about the vibe and the experience than a full menu. But the wines are well selected, the oysters are yummy and so is the waitstaff. The location is intimate and beautiful, like a set from an Edward Hopper painting.
Great spot!!! Had the oysters and the charcuterie plate! Amazing delicious food! HIGHLY recommend! Great little speakeasy spot! Small quaint with a good selection of whiskeys and cocktails! I'll be coming back my next visit!
Such a quirky little place but, wow: the drinks are amazing. Try the coffee negroni - sure, it sounds weird but it totally works. Love the speakeasy vibe, lighting, service. My new go to spot for craft cocktails in Portland.
