Very happy with my new bike. I ordered it through their website after speaking with a representative and deciding it was the bike for me. Prior to picking the bike up, I had called a few times to check if it had arrived, if it was ready, etc. Each phone call was extremely friendly and helpful.
When I went in to pick up the bike, the sales person and tech staff were extremely helpful. The sales person showed me all the accessories I asked about while the tech staff did a final inspection to show me that everything was put together correctly. I decided to buy a rack for the back of the bike and they installed it for me while I waited.
UPDATE: My five stars haven't changed, but I wanted to update this review. A year later and I still have nothing but positive things to say about Performance Bikes. After my bike was damaged (no one's fault specifically) the repair shop got it back in new condition and didn't charge a fortune to do it. They discussed the options and pros and cons of each in terms of repair, safety, and price.

Will never step foot in this place ever again. Went in 3 weeks ago to buy a new bike and none of the sales guys knew the differences between any of the bikes. They don’t know how to properly fit for a bike as I ended up with a bike that is to big for me. My partner bought a new bike the same day and the day we picked up he had a flat which they were no help with. My bike after two weeks of having it which I only rode a few times almost caused me to be hit by a car. The manager Tom assembled my bike and today while riding on broad my handle bars came off..... I almost got hit by three cars because of this. I called and ended up speaking to Tom who’s customer service skills are horrible. He told me I may be charged for having the issue fixed. If he assembled the bike properly I wouldn’t have had this problem. Now I am stuck going somewhere else to pay someone to fix the issue that shouldn’t have been a problem in the first place.
Your better off getting the bike in the box and assembling yourself.
Horrible customer service at this location avoid at all costs.

Andrew was very helpful and knowledgeable during our visit. He patiently explained all the details about bikes as he noticed I am a beginner. He seemed very interested to make our visit very informative and give us all the options to find the bike that is right for me.

I did my research online and found certain bikes that I was interested in. I went to the shop on 5/13/18 and had a great conversation about bikes with an awesome sales associate. I returned to buy a bike on 5/18/18 and the person that was helping me said, "Sorry, we don't have that bike, but what color are you looking for?"

I’m a forty year old male and I went in to buy a bike, but was turned off due to the lack of knowledge/effort/service from the staff. I asked about the difference between two SE Bikes (big ripper and big flyer) and the worker acted like it was beneath him to talk about the bikes. He said that he didn’t know anything about either. I then asked if I could look at them and he said “Sure, and walked away”. The bikes were all chained together and I wanted to sit on the bike and get a feel for it. I ended up just shaking my head and walking out. I’m going to start looking for a bike at a Philly small business bike shop. If I were SE, I would pull my bikes from this chain.
