Perkins Restaurant & Bakery

A great place to dine when in the Iowa Great Lakes area. An excellent selection on the menu and breakfast is served all day. Most selections Run in the $9 to $12 range, but there is another menu with what seemed to be daily specials that is a bit cheaper. You can also purchase fresh bakery goods here. A gluten free menu is also available. Friendly waitresses and staff make this a great dining experience.

We usually only eat here when all of the other restaurants in the area are too busy. The food is nothing to rave about, but it isn't bad either. Prices are decent for what you're served and you don't have to fight as much of the narrow 71 traffic if you choose this Perkins for a meal.

One of the worse Perkins I've ever been to. Their portions are ridiculously small compared to just about every single other Perkins I've ever been to. If you order hashbrowns be prepared to have maybe half an order of them compared to every other Perkins you've been to. What gets me is hashbrowns are cheap why would they be that stingy about them? Along with fries too. Unless potatoes all of a sudden cost a lot of money and I didn't get the memo it's a joke. Mash potatoes you've got the same situation going on. I have noticed they cater to the blue/gray hairs mainly which makes sense on their portion sizes but for anyone with an appetite don't go here unless you're planning on buying two meals to fill you up. The food is fairly tasteless also again catering to those older folks.

Slightly spendy, but you shouldn't leave hungry! The food it's great! I especially love the all day breakfast! Take home a pure or muffins if you wish! The atmosphere is cozy, which is nice while you wait for them to make your food fresh! The service is quite friendly also.

This visit was a whole lot better then last! Jordan the waitress was very sincere and attentive to our and her other tables making sure we were all taken care of, the hostess was very polite and caring to the kids and even saw Jordan with the other tables and came and checked up on us! Very good!
