Welcome to the Pet Health Center. Your full service small animal healthcare team dedicated to delivering the high quality medicine and client education your pet deserves. Serving the River Wards Neighborhoods of Philadelphia (Northern Liberties, Fishtown, Bridesburg, Port Richmond, Kensington) our hospital is proud to be serving the pets of Philadelphia for over 50 years.

Your compassionate and friendly veterinary team is here to answer any questions you might have because we want what you want - a happy and healthy pet! Before your healthcare team comes to work each day, they wake-up to take care of their own beloved animals. You can feel comfortable knowing that the medicine we practice and recommend to you is the same medicine we would practice on our own animal family members.

Your appointment with your medical team is your time to educate us as to what your pet's needs are and our opportunity to educate you on how we can help. Appointments won't be rushed and with in house in-house laboratory diagnostics, digital x-ray equipment, and other modern technology your medical team will be able to deliver high quality compassionate medicine efficiently.

The staff and Veterinarian are kind and pleasant. We had a cat receive his rabies shot, blood work and neutered. We were informed of all cost prior to completion. Our cat was not traumatized and well taken care of. Care instructions are printed and explained by the assistant and Veterinarian.

I'm so thankful to this wonderful place, my dog recently had swelling of his face called and they got me right in, kept him over night squeezed in dental surgery in the morning..they always put my mind at ease when dealing with my pets, since Peanut is 14 I trusted him in there hands, all was a success.they get a 1000 percent from me
Recently had to bring my dog in after he took a tumble down the stairs. They were able to fit me in the same day. They called me at home the next day to follow up on how my dog was doing, which I really appreciated. I would strongly consider making this my regular vet.
I had a wonderful experience. They really took care of my dog. There was a genuine concern for his well being and safety. They even called 2 days after to check on him, and I thought that was so considerate. Would recommend this service to all my family and friends.
I had to take my dog Max here 5 times do far and he had to have the same procedure 3 different times back to back and the veterinarian only charged me for the 1st procedure. It wasn't cheap because of it being a serious procedure but I didn't have to pay them an arm and a leg neither like the veterinary hospitals charge. I would recommend the Pet Health Center for anybody who has an animal that is in need of medical attention.
If I could give this place 0 stars I would. I brought my 10 month healthy cat for a paw injury spent over $800 and three days later my once healthy cat passed away. It has been a nightmare dealing with them due to me getting a autopsy with another vet. The vet made me feel like all he cares about his money. If you can take your animal to literally anywhere else. Your fur baby should be treated as so and not another bill for them to charge you!
If i could put zero i would they are completely disrespectful and the doctors completely neglected my cat by an inaccurate diagnosis therefore leading to my cats death. What was a simple sprain turned into death, when trying to receive information on what could have possibly went wrong they deny to give any autopsy results after paying almost 2,000 for the whole process, Safe yourself from this place as well as your pets as they are not safe and no one really cares about you nor your pets safety. They are nothing but money hungry.
Over pricey for put a very sick family pet down. I wasnt going to be allowed to be with my pet as they do it. I wanted to be there to comfort my poor 14 yrs old dog as he was leaving us. That wasn't allowed. They wanted $405 plus cremation cost.
i love this place. they are always able to get me an appointment within the same week, sometimes even the same day. they always treat my dog so well :
