Just loved the atmosphere, very quaint. Felt like we were eating in our grandmother's living room . The Pho was very good, the service was excellent. I highly recommend this establishment. Easy to miss, looks like your grandmother's home, and just as welcome .Food: 5/5
OH MY PHO. First off, the staff are so friendly and helpful even while they’ve been so short staffed I included a pic of the signs on their door outlining hours and such until August 2nd, but the PHO was SO AMAZING! I asked our waitress what their most popular dish and the #10 and all of the additional toppings and sauces were superb together! Highly recommend Pho Tay Ho if you like delicious Vietnamese food!
Family run pho joint inside a classic downtown house. I got there just before noon on a Wednesday and watched the place fill up to capacity within 30 minutes. Beef broth was legit, clean and tasty. I like that they have a small option. Meats were also surprisingly high quality. One of the ladies said they have been in business more than 20 years.
The Steak Pho is my favorite. The Steak and Brisket my second. The fried Pork Egg-rolls, and Spring rolls are great starters. The restaurant is simple, very inviting and comforting. The people are very friendly. I would highly recommend!! Kid-friendliness: Family Restaurant Parking: Parking on the street Wheelchair accessibility: Full on wheelchair ramp
CURES MY HOMESICKNESS ALL THE TIME! I just moved to Utah from Chicago and I come here 2 times a week! Make sure to dine-in to get that asian aunty experience, even if you're not asian it just feels like home. I grew up with my Thai grandmother and even though its Vietnamese food the whole house of Pho Tay Ho smells like a southern asian home. Good vibes for sure, and every time I eat here I think of my grandma and I miss her so much. This place is truly the most special place to me in Salt Lake City. I come here not only because of the delicious Pho, but you can see the ladies cooking in the back kitchen, and they are so sweet. ALSO their chili oil is homemade and it is the SH!T, like to the point where you want to ask to buy a bottle of it or just for the recipe so you can experience that delicious chili oil always for the rest of your life lol! It is not fancy, it is simple, and heartwarming and minimal.
Definitely the best pho we've found in SLC! They basically only do pho, and it shows. My go-to is the tai/steak, and my husband likes their vegetarian version. Hours can be a little sporadic because they close when they run out, but that's just another reason to eat here rather than a place where the pho is an afterthought.
First day in Salt Lake City and had to tried a pho place in town. Saw the reviews and also a person I was traveling with recommended this place. The location looks like a residential area even the place looked like a house. The place felt homey and you can tell by the people who runs this is a family own. This established is like a restaurant/home. Lots of people were dining here as well. Pho definitely taste like homemade and you can order in a small, medium, or large. I order a #1 in a size small which is plentiful since I was also tired and not up to eat more like I usually do. It's very tasty, broth is clear and flavorful. Good amount of meat, noodles and herbs. Pho real, this is so tasty and good.
The most amazing Pho I’ve ever had. Excellent restaurant.
This is legit the best pho in salt lake hands down. Super cute house with authentic food. The broth to the pho is the first indicator that this food is made with love. I didn't even have a chance to take a proper picture because I devoured it so quickly. I also sometimes judge a place by how much they give you. Here they don't give you huge servings but that is ok because you leave so full. When I stood up and looked at all the other tables, not one pho bowl was left with broth. Everyone else had also shipped everything down to the last drop it's so good.
A fantastic family-run restaurant! Our pho was delicious. Fast, friendly service. A perfect treat on a cold rainy afternoon
