My husband, Dante Peña, and I booked the wedding venue Villa Siena and our coordinator, Kayla, suggested Marcus Trollmann from Ray the DJ to be our DJ for the night with our package.  We met Marcus serendipitously at our friend's wedding and he pulled up our account right on his iPad. This was such a great interaction and we could tell Kayla picked a great person. Not only that, but we got a sneak preview of his abilities as a DJ and we were very impressed. He read the room and kept the dance floor packed.  Finally, as the big day approached, Marcus also offered us his other services from Phoenix Uplighting. We went with the add on of "dancing on clouds" as Villa Siena just recently changed their rules on allowing this feature.  We also communicated with Marcus through email, phone call, text, and Instagram. He was super cordial and made us feel at ease with all of our choices. Since we were having a Disney wedding, this allowed us to be very creative and Marcus was super supportive.  As we were using the software to pick songs, there were quite a few we had to add since they were not in there already. There were also some YouTube videos of mixes and we wanted the father-daughter dance to be shorter. He was easily able to add everything and made us a mix of the father-daughter song to be the perfect length.  Then, finally the day came....Marcus delivered big time. He knocked it out of the park. He was able to follow our song picks and was able to adapt to our audience. Since Dante's side was really into cumbias, he was able to play ones that we really enjoyed and his family got into. The dancing on clouds effect for our first dance made for awesome photos. He kept the night moving along and was able to check in with us as well. He even gave us a special surprise at the end of our grand entrance.  We cannot thank him enough. Marcus was so easy going and friendly. He wasn't overly cheesy being an emcee and had just the perfect amount of flair. Thanks for making our day beyond special!  Sincerely, The Peñas

Our DJ Marcus was top notch before & at our daughter's wedding! The sound for the ceremony & our special slide show was amazing, as well as the music we requested. He made sure to confirm our wants & wishes prior to our event. Hats off to him for making our daughter's wedding even more special by adding his personal touches to ours

We hired Marcus to provide uplighting as well as a monogram for our reception on our wedding day. I cannot say enough great things about Marcus! He communicated immediately and was so helpful in the planning process. Our wedding day was the most magical day, and a huge part of that was due to Marcus who made sure everything PERFECT!! The uplighting was everything I dreamed of, the monogram was stunning, and the music was amazing he was also our DJ! We had so many people come up to us afterwards and compliment the set up as well as his ability to get people on the dance floor.  I cannot thank Marcus enough for everything, it was seriously all PERFECT!!

Marcus and Phoenix Up-lighting did a great job for my event. I will absolutely consider using them again. He was clean, neat and efficient. I also found his packages very affordable. Up-lights will always enhances your event space, so using Phoenix Uplighting makes this luxury affordable for everyone. They were also able to make a wedding gobo quickly and very cost effective. DJ Marcus was great in hosting our wedding! He constantly gave us updates, timelines of when certain things should be done, and of course he provided a memorable experience for my wife and I on the day of the reception! His music choices fit exactly what we wanted the night of the event after meeting with us. He knows how to read the crowd and keep everyone wanting to stay on the dance floor! For the various speeches and planned events cake cutting, rose dance, dinner service, etc it was extremely helpful to have him coordinate the night flawlessly. His photo booth was a guest favorite capturing endless moments from our guests that we were able to easily access afterwards. The lighting package was also great in adding to our overall theme of our wedding night and we would highly recommend him to anyone needing a DJ for a wedding or any event in the future! Marcus was the best!  We received so many compliments on our DJ. Marcus is the absolute best! The dance floor was never empty. Marcus went out of his way to make sure everything was perfect for our big day. Marcus also snapped some great photos of us and shared them with us the next day. If you are looking for the most amazing hype man, look no further.. Marcus knows how to read a room and he knows how to make your wedding perfect. Thank you so much for everything you did for us!

Marcus provided us with a lovely animated monogram at our wedding as well as complimentary uplighting to frame it. He was very responsive during the ordering process and the final result was great!

We hired Marcus for our venue at Villa Siena for the uplighting and a moving monogram and everything was magical beyond words. He went above and beyond to accommodate us in knowing how everything will look beforehand and answer any and all questions. Communication is so important to me with any vendor and he was always available and quick to respond by email or phone! He was also our DJ and continued to show that communication in person to come check on us and make sure we were still happy with everything.  I can not say enough kind words to ever describe how easy and beautiful he made this process! I highly highly recommend.

Marcus was absolutely amazing for our wedding. He understood the crowd and was also very professional. We would highly recommend hiring Marcus for any future events.

For our wedding, we went with a custom designed monogram and Phoenix Uplighting delivered!  The monogram was perfectly designed and animated, just as we requested. The additional uplighting around the ballroom stood out beautifully. The dance floor lighting turned the night into an instant party spot!  Marcus was extremely professional and easy to work with and open to whatever suggestions we had. He made our special day that much more amazing.  Highly recommended if you want your event to look the best.
