Pickleman's Gourmet Cafe

Ordered there for the first time today. Nice restaurant, clean and laid out well. The food was delicious and my order was made quickly. However, if you can, write your order on a piece of paper and show it to the cooks or point to it on the provided menus; there is a lot of loud ambient noise from the machines plus music playing, so I had a very hard time understanding what was being said and there was a lot of confusion about what exactly I ordered, to the point that even I wasn't sure what I had ordered. The cooks themselves seemed very disorganized even amongst themselves. I enjoyed the food, so I might go there again, but the difficulty in communicating makes it low on my list.

The chili is really good, but i don't know what happened to my sandwich, there wasn't any meat on half the sandwich, no bacon at all, and what turkey they did use, one could read a newspaper article through. I called and the manager, and the store is remaking the sandwich and having it delivered to my work. I will see how that work for me. Must have been and off day or one pissed off employee, come on whoever made the sandwich had to know, just had to. Well i called back and from what i gathered they had no intention of sending my remade dinner out, let alone the manager said he tried to call me back. There was not 1 attempt on my phone. From bad to worse. It gets better i work 1.1 miles away and i am out of the delivery area.

Generous portion of meat and topping on my sandwich. Free water. The chicken sandwich/ soup were tasty! However, my beef sandwich and pepperoni pizza were bland. Recommends the chicken based meals if you are dining here.

Great service. Everything was prepared as requested. Reasonable pricing. Great alternative to Jimmy John’s, Little King, Jersey Mike’s, etc. The added bonus? The made from scratch cookies, which are outstanding!!!

The downtown Pickleman's is normally pretty crowded and has a weird set up for ordering. However, my three star comes from the fact that the sandwiches are really small for the price. If you want a decent price for your food get a salad or pizza.
