I have been a patient here for 5 years now and really enjoy this practice. They are clean and super timely, I have never waited more than a few minutes after checking in. Lara is the best and always listens and addresses any questions/concerns I have. I will continue to come here!
This is one of the most professional doctors' offices I've been to. Everyone from the front desk staff to the MAs are kind and professional. Lara the PA takes the time to listen to your concerns and explains things thoroughly. I like it here.
I had such a great experience here. Everyone was so kind and helpful. My PA Lara was also so great and I felt truly cared for. They also took care of me so quickly but also gave me their undivided attention.
I’m so pleased with Piedmont Medical Associates! The office is SO efficient I’ve never been there longer than 45 minutes and never waited more than 5 to be seen, the communication on MyChart is thorough and easy to understand, and I feel well taken care of by Dr. Hurley and PA Lara. Truly the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I've been going to Dr. Hurley for over 2 years now. While she is great, the front desk staff and billing department have presented the absolute worst customer service I have experienced at any place of business. Because of them, I will be changing doctors and am writing a review to hopefully save others from encountering the same issues. I've been through two different insurance providers during my time at Piedmont Medical Associates, so I can confirm my issues are not the fault of my insurance. Every single visit I've had no exaggeration has had a billing issue of some kind. Most take multiple phone calls to the billing department at the office to resolve they are not very eager to listen or resolve. However, my last visit is by far the worst experience I've had. I went in for my annual physical and was given a list of tests to choose from right before they drew my blood! I told them I'd like the ones covered by my insurance, but they could not confirm that because it's not their responsibility. I was not able to check beforehand because they "forgot" to email me the list before my appointment like they are supposed to. I was told to check with my insurance and get back to them on what tests to run. I sent the office my insurance's reply the next day, but I was told they went ahead and ran all of the tests. Without my permission, they decided to run all tests and send me a bill for all of those not covered. Worse than the mistake and bill I now have to pay, the front desk and billing staff has been INCREDIBLY rude in my attempts to resolve this matter. They talk over me on the phone, pretend that they don't understand the issue, and make no efforts to resolve. I cannot recommend staying away from Piedmont Medical Associates more.
I’ve been going here for a few years now but I think it’s time to find another office. I recently was sick and scheduled an appointment to be seen, I was less then 10 mins late due to an accident and they turned me away. I understand there’s a flow, but I was sick and needed immediate care and they told me no. This really rubbed me the wrong way. Not to mention, last time I came in for blood work I waited 2 HOURS because the phlebotomist left for lunch and no one else was there to assist nor could they reach her…there were 5 other people waiting, I was late to work…it was not ok.
Seemingly nice doctor at first. I got to my appointment early. Appointment with Dr. Cindi/Cynthia Not-Sure Hurley felt incredibly rushed even though I had two issues I wanted to address. When I talked about potentially having endometriosis because my mother had it and required a complete hysterectomy, she dismissed it and said that when SHE was younger, SHE had some period pains and SHE was able to have children and that I was probably concerned for nothing. She, instead of addressing my concerns, explained basic female anatomy and what endometriosis was....even though I said I knew very clearly what it was. She was condescending, annoyed that I brought up any issues besides talking about my basic annual exam. I won't be returning to this doctor or Piedmont Medical Associates offices. If you're looking to be treated like another number, statistic, and feel completely dismissed, go here.
I came in Tuesday for a cough, I wasn’t feeling sick and had no congestion and ended up leaving with a tetanus shot and flu shot. They didn’t give me anything for my cough, just told me to keep taking the same over the counter meds I had been taking. By the time I woke up on Wednesday morning I was sicker than I had been in years. They never tested me to see if I had any virus or anything before giving me the shots and sending me home. I’ve now missed several days of work and am sicker than I have been in years. They said they would set me up with a “my chart” online service so I could chat with the doctors, but they never set it up. I tried calling to speak with a doctor or PA but was just kept on hold and then hung up on. I’m now going to miss 4 days of work this week, when I had previously no issue attending work with just the cough I originally had. I’ve never liked going to the doctor and this really proves why. They just want money at the end of the day and don’t really care what is going on with the patient.
Will never go back to this place. After searching providers in my insurance network in my area I found Piedmont Medical. They confirmed that they accepted my insurance plan, which I asked again when arriving at my first appointment. I provided them with all of my insurance information, and AGAIN they confirmed that they accept my insurance plan. After that visit, I scheduled another appointment for the next week - two appointments in total. Weeks later I find a bill in the mail for almost $1200.00 from Piedmont Medical because "they forgot to check my specific plan" WHICH THEY DO NOT COVER!! It literally took several calls to my insurance company AND for my insurance company to actually call them before they admitted that it was an oversight on their behalf. They finally confirmed it was not fault of my insurance company OR myself, and apologized for the "oversight". I was told by both the front desk and several people in billing that they accepted my insurance plan, and had not one but two appointments, which resulted in having an outrageous bill to pay on my own! So disgusted, won't return and definitely won't recommend.
Been a patient for 7 years, just can’t do it anymore. Front office will tell you that they offer tests that they actually don’t and leave you waiting there for two hours for an appointment. They continually leave you waiting, they’ve even given me false positives on very serious illnesses only to come back later and admit they were wrong. Only giving it two stars instead of one because Dr. Hurley is a good doctor, at least when you can see her one month out.
