Platea Latin Eatery and Cantina

Had dinner here for the first time and was VERY impressed! The atmosphere is great, the food is AMAZING and authentic. Worth every penny. The manager is very friendly and attentive. Overall one of the best dinner experiences I've had. I will definitely be back several times to try more delicious food!

Great spot for dinner with friends. The food was delicious and you can tell that it's made with fresh ingredients. The salsa trio was wonderful and gave us an opportunity to sample new flavors. There is indoor and outdoor seating available.

Awful, ultra sweet expensive margaritas. We pointed this out to our bartender and she stated sometimes the prior bartender makes the mix too sweet. She then proceeded to make 3 more with the exact same mix. She ran out of silver tequilla and did not bother to open up another bottle to top off my drink. The bar was also absolutely filthy. Food was mediocre, chips and salsas were pretty good.

The real thing. Locally and lovingly owned by people from where that food lives. You can lay down serious cash ($70 for 2 people drinking beer) but everything I've tried has been delicious. The shrimp was exquisite in every sense; tears because it was so hot but so good I couldn't stop for long. It's ok to ask for crema and rice. They won't tease you.

We really enjoy La Platea. The food is amazing and the service is fantastic. My personal favorite is the Chicken Mole. Great bar as well.
