An excellent beer selection for people interested in places with "a beer selection", you know who you are. Most interestingly, plonk has done a number a collaborations with great brewers, we tried 3 tonight and all were winners.
During a visit to the Fresh Food Market at Belconnen, my wife and I dropped in here to see what was on offer. We were very impressed with the wide range of craft beers and wines available. There were even some wines available for tasting. As one would expect most of the offerings were premium products which attracted premium prices. We bought a 4 pack of Beechworth porter for $17.90 and a mixed 6 pack of Capital beers for $24.90. The staff was very knowledgeable and very eager to provide excellent customer service. We came away with a very positive opinion of this business.
Picked up a nice Red for Valentine's Day Dinner, went extremely well in the Red Wine Jus which accompanied the Boeuf en Croúte... with enough left to enjoy a glass or two!!
Good selection but the rude and unfriendly service, on more than one occasion, means I won't be back. The staff at Vintage Cellars in Manuka are just as knowledgeable and provide much better service. Dan Murphy's in Phillip, which I am sure Plonk would consider far beneath it, has far friendly and helpful staff.
All your fresh seafood, meat from the butcher, fruit and vegetables in one place. How good is the bakery also with heaps of savoury and sweets. Health food shop and Asian food also. Huge First Choice for your beverage selections. Plenty of parking.
Still has an extensive range of local beers at great prices. Cheapest Bentspoke varieties by the carton around town.
First time visiting this somewhat boutique store. This is not your general liquor store but as I did, you'll find wondering special and unique there. Friendly staff are it'snot help and recommend drinks based on what you're looking for. I bought a Jamaican ginger beer from recommendation and did not regret it!
Awesome range of beers, English variety are my favourites. I have been given some cool pint glasses over time which is a nice touch. Great friendly service.
A sister location for Plonk at the Fyshwick markets. They stock a great range of local and international beers. If you're keen on trying new breweries, and new beer styles, you're in for a treat! The staff are helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. They are able to offer advice and suggestions. The only reason I don't give a full 5 stars is that they don't stock a good range of ciders or ginger beers.
If can't find it here you can find it no where. Extended menu of world renowned spirits and they keep refreshing it all the time. Something for everyone's taste and if you like trying new and great tastes. This is a place to be
