We ate here for dinner and two breakfasts. The French onion soup is a must and I really liked the Hawaiian style cheeseburger. The breakfast buffet was very good but I just can't eat that much anymore. We did have breakfast off the menu a well and it was quite good. It is expensive but everything is on Hawaii. Beautiful setting and very relaxing. The service was very friendly although not fast but who cares when you are sitting in such a nice place.
I spent the majority of my week's stay at this resort eating at this restaurant, and I was never disappointed. I had breakfast here every morning, the thin pancakes but not Crepes were my favorite, though the views of the beach from the table were very nice as well! The service was impeccable! In addition, I ate most of my lunches at the nice little bar sitting off the the side. Great views of the cove, nice little selection of beers, the food was always great. And again, the service was excellent! My meals here at this nice little casual restaurant are a big reason my stay at this resort was so wonderful, and I look forward to coming back here next year!
This is the second year that we had the seafood buffet. They are very attentive to refilling dishes as they get empty. We did find that the featured soup changed halfway through our meal. The attendants are quick to clear the plates but the wait staff wad a bit slow because they were stretched thin. They open at 5 and we had 5:30 reservations and the buffet was packed. We waited a bit and it cleared out a bit. Parking: There is free valet parking with validation.
We came here for a weekend lunch. The ambience is great, ocean front and relaxing. Two of us shared a Caesar salad and large prawn fettuccine and my son had the washugyu hamburger. All delicious. The service is excellent and parking at the Kahala hotel is fully validated.Food: 5/5
We took our Aunty to the Saturday breakfast buffet. It was okay. I suggest you eat earlier as they ran out of food and weren't able to keep up with the flow of people. I gave it a low rating for the food and for the cook that was behind the omelet station. He was not a very nice person. He was nice to other people, but not to me and a few others. It was very disappointing. They ran out of the sirloin with mushrooms and onions. They ran out of the red wine gravy for the carving station, really. It was $55 for the buffet, not worth it. But our waiter, Bradford, was terrific! He tried everything to accommodate us, especially for my 83 year old aunty. Bradford is truly a five-star employee.
We had a comfy breakfast here without any reservations. We booked this hotel with Amex platinum desk. There is a breakfast menu for kids and they will provide some color pencils with a paper so kids won’t be get bored. Because of the room rate of this hotel, I didn’t see disgusting families like we saw in Honolulu! People were calm, and well mannered.
This restaurant has a stunning location, which is a treat in itself. We came here ten years ago and the vibe has changed a bit: the white umbrellas are a little stained and the beautiful white pavilion which used to sit as a feature on the lawn has been set aside around a corner. Atmosphere aside, the staff remain exceptional, and make for a very pleasant experience. I ordered an Upcountry Breakfast with coffee and orange juice. The bacon was very well cooked and crunchy and the fruit was tasty and well presented. My dining partner had french toast, which came with whipped maple and coconut syrups. For the price point, the food was not as special as one would hope for other places usually serve their french toast with interesting embellishments or fruit, there were no extras at all on the plate here, for example.
The buffet on the weekend is wonderful. Sushi was fresh and delicious and prime rib was excellent. The desserts could have been a little better but the fresh fruits made up for it. It's a little pricey but the food was very good. The view and access to the beach was great.
The delicious offerings of the Seafood Dinner Buffet available Fridays and Saturdays combined with the views of the Pacific Ocean made this dining experience memorable. Our reservation was in the early evening which provided us with a more quiet start to our evening and a mostly unobstructed view of the beach. The buffet had a wide selection of salads, poke, sushi, hot dishes, and desserts. The Misoyaki Butterfish was seasoned and cooked perfectly. The Coconut Tapioca had the perfect amount of coconut flavor.
This place is amazing, the food, the service and the view, they all great!!! We tried breakfast, lunch, and dinner. They all surprised us, this place is way better than some fine dining restaurant in Waikiki. The only thing I think they can improve is their sashimi, it's not cold enough, I personally prefer sashimi on the ice...
