Plymouth-Canton Expressions Music Academy

Our great-granddaughter is taking voice lessons at Expressions. She is working with Alex and is making wonderful progress. She loves that she can help choose the pieces she works with, keeping her interested with current show tunes and music meaningful to her. We love it because she is learning theory in a way that easily translates to an adult understanding of interpreting music. Lots of encouragement while low pressure. Kudos to this wonderful establishment.

Most wonderful place and people ever for a person to develop and deepen a love for music. The environment at Expressions is welcoming and unique, and the instructors are strategists, supporters, mentors and friends. It's more than just a place to take music lessons - it becomes part of who your child is and will be. The camaraderie that developed between my daughter and others she met there as a young learner continues even now that she is in college.

Now, I'm taking a private drum lesson. My teacher is great. He customizes each lesson for me. So every time I can learn new things, even though I've taken some lessons at other schools. And stuff are friendly and kind !

I have a special need sister that is also a senior citizen. I have been driving by the Troy location and stopped in to see if they would be willing to take her on as a student for piano. They were the most helpful group of people that also work at the Plymouth-Canton & NOVI location. This was in 2016. I have signed her up again for the 2017 summer. She loves this place and the people there. This is with out a doubt a great place to learn music. I do recommend them for all who would like to learn to play an instrument.

My two daughters started taking piano lessons at Expressions Novi just over a year ago and we have loved the experience. Their approach is centered around learning and making the environment support the student's growth. Instructors are well trained, good educators and have been thoughtful to how each student progresses in their own way and time. The staff are always friendly and helpful with answering questions, scheduling lessons or makeups and making you feel welcomed. I strongly recommend Expressions if you have an interest in taking music lessons.
