Ann Arbor Music Center

This place is great. I've been taking lessons for about a year and highly recommend it to anyone wanting to learn a new instrument. I would never have the discipline to practice on my own without some guidance, and it's a lot of fun to learn songs and make progress. My co-worker's daughter also had voice lessons here and recently won a competition! I'm an adult, and there's all ages here, but it's obviously really great for kids as well - they have camps throughout the summer, you can play in a band, and everyone is really friendly. I'm always able to find free street parking nearby but there's a pay lot across the street, too.

The people here love music and love their students. Karen (one of the owners) is incredibly generous, and helped me out to ensure my daughter always had a drum kit available when I had trouble having one at home. Garrison was fantastic with my daughter - knew the music but was good at making a teenager feel comfortable. I would recommend Ann Arbor Music Center to everyone!

My daughter takes both voice and guitar lessons at the Ann Arbor Music Center. The staff and instructors are great. The owners are very friendly too and make you feel a part of their musical family.

We have been a part of the AAMC family for going on 14 years! Their partnership in our children's musical education has been an extraordinary experience. We feel incredibly lucky to have such kind, caring and highly qualified professionals in our children's lives. AAMC brings out the best in everyone and is an absolute gem to Ann Arbor. Thank you Alex and Karen for dedicating yourselves to sharing the gift of music with so many adults and young people.

Our son has enjoyed base lessons with Dave Sharp for years, along with some of the Summer Camps. Dave and the crew are great with kids--meeting them where they're at and making growing as a musician fun!
