I was very disappointed with the chicken Melanese. The chicken was too hard, and when I called in to get some compensation, there was none provided. I will never order from here again. As an out-of-town guest, I certainly thought there would be some resolve. I’m. I will never order from here again and recommend not supporting this establishment. Never again I should have read the poor reviews before hand.

The BBQ food here is so good! Lady by the name of Virginia treated us amazing, excellent customer service

The sandwich I just bought was horrible. The steak on the sandwich was hard, rare, the bread couldn’t even carry the sandwich. The fries were stale and old. I used to love this place but it’s not the same. Review Update: The other menu options aren’t bad like the sautéed steak and onions with Portuguese rice, or barbecue ribs, chicken and rice.

Love love love this place! Their food never fails. Greatest Portuguese food in Elizabeth. Chicken has a wonderful spice to it that makes it nice and juicy unlike other places, their chicken is not dry at all. Totally recommend.

I ordered a chicken sandwich and was extremely unhappy with it. I called and let them know they pretty much said we don't care and hung up. This was my first time in NJ and I really hope all the other little restaurants have better customer service.

Long tine customer, never had a complaint about the food or delivery. Unfortunately today very disappointed. I order the sirloin steak asked for it medium was well done. Was cold , hard chewy not the quality I’m used to eat from Port Deli. I would have given a lower score however but it’s only fair due to the long consistency of great food & service.

So I gave it a try , not ur typical Portuguese place , was not happy all chicken empanadas Where nasty I ordered 4 , and ordered the chicken with onions and peppers, chicken was hard , means not cooked and rice no flavor, as I sit here in bathroom Takeout: No

Food is Great! Service is ok depending on the wait staff. Owners are always there but fail to ever acknowledged their customers. There prices are competitive but they will charge you for everything possible. The owner is rather happy to hit you with a credit card surcharge although it is illegal to do so in the state of NJ hence there is no written information for such but they will verbally inform you of such. If at the dinning room, don't dare ask for extra bread without expecting to pay additional for it. The bread service by the way is just a tease on their part, and God forbid that you'll need a doggy bag as you will also pay for that. Parking is probably their biggest downfall though, you'll be lucky to find street parking hence not a place to meet family and friends. Excellent food though.

Place is very unprofessional the woman at front desk hanged up the phone 3 times in a row when i just wanted to know if the order was sent out for delivery since it was passed an hour and thirty minutes. The driver had apparently passed but why didnt thwy knock on the door ? Or tried calling ? Its turned into a dump its not like it used to be

I was a customer for years but for the second time they send me my delivery uncooked the smell in the chicken was just intolerable I called them to make the complaint but they didn’t said much about it I just want to recommend u to repeat well how u like your food otherwise they will not take serious your complain
