Despite being wicked busy yesterday, everyone was SO helpful and nice. I did wait a while to actually get into the OR HOWEVER, it is honestly expected. It’s a hospital. They handle emergencies and who knows what else they had going on! I had never had surgery before and I was pretty anxious about it, but it felt like a breeze here. From the time I checked in to when I left, every person I made contact with was wonderful and reassuring. Thank you all for your kindness.
I want to tell I don't have a problem with any of the nurse or doctors. They have all been great. My problem is with billing. I called to ask were I could mail my payment to. And if they could expect money orders. She told me no they only except cards over the phone or check's. I told well I don't have either one of those. And that doesn't help me.qhar I'm I suppose to do.
My grandma came in for something very serious and we had horrible service we called the nurse to help her go use the restroom and no came when we went to go find someone to help they got upset and told us to use the button and walked out so we had to take her. They didn't take us seriously when we told them what my grandma was feeling even the ambulance was horrible. I know they have nothing to do with the hospital but it was unbelievable if my grandmother had died I would've sued so quick.
Everyone was so friendly literally everyone, nurses, the porter, receptionist doctors anesthesiologist... everyone were so welcoming, the hospital is huge and they take pride and care of this facility, I'm hoping I won't have to use a hospital again but if I do I wouldn't mind coming back to this one. Thank you to the whole staff it was so appreciated tou guys rock!
I was taken to Porter Hospital ER for chest pain and high blood pressure, I was taken to a room in ER, was given a covid test, my blood was taken and an Xray, no IV no Oxygen nothing else. The ER nurse said to wait for the results and he would be back to let me know. About an hour and a half later a Physicians assistant came in and told me tests were negative and I probably had some type of virus and I would be discharged to go home, she PA was in my room for less than 5 minutes. I received a $1500 bill for an ER Physician not a Physician Assistant. For a 3hr visit to the ER I received a bill for $17,000 and $1500 for a Physician this is absolutely unbelievable, even after my insurance paid I still owed $450. I know medical services are expensive but it is very hard to understand why this is acceptable. It discourages people from going to ER I'm sure. I will not go to ER again unless I feel I'm close to death. I will go to my Drs office for $50. And we wonder why medical insurance is so high. Maybe I just don't understand it. Richard
The ER registration guy bearded man with forearm tattoo was incredibly rushed with me and rude as can be. He was interrupting me constantly and didnt see to be listening at all. The Rn older lady, missed her name was just as rude or worse... She barely listened to my symptoms and rushed through everything... It was like she pushed my celiac pain off as covid?? What sense is that, she didnt listen to my history and barely seemed interested at all. Absolutely horrible experience so far. Not to mention I've been waiting over an hour now... Do NOT come here. I will file a complaint with someone as soon as i can get out of here. Hoping my pain recedes enough, had to just leave. Absolutely terrible service
I went to the ER, I felt like I was not getting the actual help I needed. Everything was so rushed, some staff we're very helpful while the main Dr was not very helpful and I left feeling less likely to try to get help, I already have a fear of going to see a doctor and now my fear is even worse. I feel like I cannot trust the medical field, I don't feel safe.
Incredibly horrible service and its not the first time. The registration guy with a beard and forearm tattoo was incredibly rude and short with me. The older scraggly haired RN lady said my first move should have been a covid test when i told her ive had terrible abdominal pain and a known gluten issue?! Absolutely no other covid symptoms. She didnt even write down a very serious symptom im having one id rather not say lol and then I sat for 2+hours. I was told itd be several more hours, So I left untreated and still in massive pain. Absolutely useless and highly recommend you DO NOT GO TO DENVER PORTERS ER. EXTREMELY RUDE AND UNHELPFUL. Showed absolutely no interest in actually helping people. I Hope management will make a change because i know 3 other people with horrible experiences here. Please avoid!!
Worst ER ever!!!! Only reason I'd ever go back is the actual triage on the floors. The ER are too busy talking about what their friends and family did, rather than attend to a patient, whom told them were having pain. Always had to unhook the machines to use the restroom myself because they rarely answered the nurse light, and if by slim chance they did, they acted as if it were a chore. Don't go to this ER!
The worst hospital stay I've ever had. Staff was mean, rude and inconsiderate. I did not feel like I was safe there and they were discriminatory to me. They would not accommodate my medically-necessary specialty diet so I had to go hungry or bring in outside food.
