This is such a beautiful library. There is so much and such varied spaces. It is immediately evident that it is a safe and welcoming space for all. The artwork all over the building is something special to behold.
Spacious, fun, and welcoming. Wish the Manga & Graphics meet-ups welcomed adults . Staff is great about helping when needed.
Greatest public library that is not a REAL public library! It's a private company paid by the city to save money, but it makes things better because they really care, unlike most city employees every were.... it's like a private country club that makes it's own rules, example is the mask mandate Jetport NO mask vs Library YES
Had a great experience except for when i was reporting to ic3.gov that i got hit in the head with an UFO, and some other things. It looks like I wasn't in a safe enough space to be reporting that or i didn't feel comfortable.. Had some issues with their browsers too, but it still works and that's what matters. Good place to check out a laptop and get a job.
Beautiful space with lots of resources
I absolutely love the Portland Public Library. Staff is knowledgeable, helpful & great atmosphere. I can order my books/ DVD online. Then I just have to swing by and pick up. I donate $$ a few times a year because I’m saving money by using such a great resource. Thanks everyone
Nice and quiet. The staff is always helpful, and friendly.
Super impressive structure in its own right but especially for a city of this size to boast a library of this scale. Loved the entry and the spacious and relaxed vibe of the children’s library. A good toy room for the very little ones and very comfy bean bag chairs throughout for a cozy reading experience.
So glad I had opportunity to visit the Portland Public Library today. First of all, it was a beautiful day in Maine... 70's, sunny and breezy! The facility has always intrigued me; I was impressed when stepped inside. beautiful, spacious, handicap friendly. Staff were ALL very helpful and kind. Thanks for a great experience.
Just recently became a member. Very easy to place an order for a book and schedule a pickup online. I can't believe I didn't think of signing up for a membership earlier. Beats buying books having to donate them or collect dust on a shelf.
