Our cheesecakes, butter cakes and other desserts are hand-crafted from scratch with the freshest, all natural, non-GMO ingredients.

Story

Portland Style Cheesecake & Desserts proprietor, Kim Haines, began her local specialty bakery in 1989 out of her home. In 1996, after her 5 kids and the bakery grew, the bakery moved to its current location in Southeast Portland.

Beginning with only one recipe, the bakery now offers over twenty-five different varieties of cheesecake and an assortment of butter cakes and other desserts. Our cheesecakes, butter cakes and other desserts are hand-crafted from scratch with the freshest, all natural, non-GMO ingredients. They contain no preservatives and no partially hydrogenated oils.

You can buy desserts at our Southeast Portland neighborhood dessert shoppe and at 132 west coast regional Fred Meyer stores or at local New Seasons and Zupan’s stores, as well as a variety of other locations.

YUMMY! We live in Vancouver WA and a friend asked me to deliver a surprise birthday cake for a relative. So glad they asked me since that was the catalyst for my search and discovery of this treasure for sweets. The coconut and lemon cakes were fantastic.
These people are so stingy and make it impossible for a non wholesaler to buy their products!!! We love their cheesecake bars but it is literally impossible to get them at their main store the people working there are cranky and nasty and they only rarely pop up at gourmet grocery stores, but there they are around 5 dollars for a tiny little slice. Please make buying cheesecake bars more accessible in store!!! This has been a problem for the last couple years.
Idk whyyyyy I only got 2. I know why, I just wanted to try it thinking it would be just enough. Wrong. I am sitting here, after the hour of 4 o'clock wishing I purchased at least 4. I got the marionberry and Italian blackberry and was extremely satisfied with my decision. I highly HIGHLY recommend this place for any occasion. Ive had authentic new york cheesecake and its either too rich, too heavy or both, but this cheesecake has the perfect amount of richness, freshness, and flavor. Also, the Italian blackberry has bits of blackberry in it that excited me everytime one discovered my tongue. Im definitely going back tomorrow
Fantastic cheesecake at good prices. I ordered a 8” strawberry cheesecake for a birthday, quick turnaround and absolutely delicious. Also done a large wedding order of cheesecake cupcakes, all flavors were amazing. Highly recommend! The chocolate cheesecake is addicting!

Their lemon cheesecake was truly one of the best cheesecakes I've ever had. I tend to be really picky, but it was a wonderful balance of sweet, sour, creamy, and fluffy. My only reason for holding back a star is that their business hours during which you can pick up a dessert are very limited in both days of the week and length. If you can get a friend to pick it up while you're at work like I was able to I would wholeheartedly recommend them!
Not the same. Recently purchased the business and now tastes too sweet. Reply: since you only sell the cupcakes sizes in a box and not individually, like the previous owner, I'm not going to return to try it out again. This is an outlet store with Fred Myers prices.
I found this place last year and I have been back several times . It’s THE best cheesecake ever!! I usually don’t like too much cheesecake but this is different . The cheesecake is smooth, creamy a little Custard like . Great crust never frozen and not to sweet . I bought a lemon one this last time and it was so good. The lemon was layered on top of the cheesecake I’m a separate Custard lining and it did it over power the cheesecake . Man!!! My mouth is watering just discribing the desert , now I have to go get another one . This places closes early and is closed Sundays, but fantastic . The owner is a sweetheart and takes great pride In her work .
Stopped by today and picked up a bunch of the little cheesecakes to try. The selection and flavors were great, the staff was super friendly and patient with us while we made our choices. So far I've only had the Marionberry cheesecake, but if the others are half as good as that one, they'll be heavenly. We will definitely be back!
I placed an order for a baby shower - just based upon the Google reviews. I was not disappointed! The cheesecake cupcakes and oatmeal carmelitas we a HIT! Everyone was raving about the treats. Also, I placed the order online through the website and received a confirmation call and email within about 15 minutes. Impressive! I will definitely be a return customer.
