Fantastic sandwich. I got the Big T. Two drinks and a bag of chips. It was the perfect lunch to share. I'm from out of town but, I'll definitely be back in one more time before leaving Philly . This has been the best thing I have eaten today.Food: 5/5
Extremely uninviting employees. No hello or acknowledgment that I was standing there. When I told the lady making my order that it was incorrect, she had the nerve to throw away the incorrect order in a dramatic way as if it was my fault. Under the old ownership, employees were much friendlier. Very disappointing how unkind some people are these days. A little kindness goes a long way.
I’m from New Jersey and worked at an Italian deli all throughout high school, so I don’t dish out 5 stars lightly. In the case of Primo’s I was blown away by the service, but more importantly the sandwich. The meat was sliced thin and layered in a pattern to create fluff, the combo of spices and flavor were just right, end the bread was out of this world fresh with sesames too! 10/10 recommend to anyone looking for a great HOAGIE- or sandwich or sub or just delicatessens!
This review only refers to the spot after Sept 2022 It pains me to give this place 2 stars today because it has been my no-questions-asked, go-to lunch spot for close to 9 years... I've always ordered the same thing and it has always been consistently fantastic - chicken Diablo with long hots and it cost me $12 in July. It closed down for a few days in August and September and reopened recently. Today early October was my first visit since then and as soon as I called to place my order, something seemed off but I didn't think much of it. I was a bit taken aback when they said that my total for my regular order was $17.50, whatever, inflation has been crazy Once I got the sandwich, it was completely off. The wrapping wasn't the same, everything was falling out of the sandwich which is unusual. A few bites in, I decided that this was my last purchase from Primo Hoagies. The taste was totally off. There was absolutely zero Diablo flavor anywhere in the sandwich to a point that the chicken just was a bland, unseasoned cutlet and nothing else. The chicken was undercooked to boot. The long hots had no kick which isn't unusual but the overall experience including the taste and feel of the hoagie was disappointing at best This location, AFAIK was one of the two originals and all others were franchises but this one also seems to be a franchise location now and it seems to be taking the route of the franchises. Guess I'm finding another spot for lunch hoagies
It's definitely overrated. I ordered the Turkey Diablo and had hardly any sauce, hardly no mayo. I've had much better hoagies at other hoagie places.
This is the best place for an Italian hoagie in Center City. Try the pepper shooters too peppers stuffed with prosciutto and cheese. No seats, take out only.
I had a catering event at my place of employment and was pressed for time in ordering. Mike was AWESOME! He walked me through the order and was very helpful with selections. The food and service were both PRIMO! Thank you!!!!
Terrible. The new management here has no idea what they are doing. Chicken was not cooked! Food was delivered cold. Disgusting. And they raised the prices significantly. Unreal
The atmosphere of the place was good. The hoagie that I order was good and delicious. The service was excellent.Food: 5/5
love love the hoagies here always fresh nothing like a hoagie on a seeded Italian roll taste exquisite
