Pro Kansas Recycling

They accept most of the most common plastics and materials. Easy to drop off as long as you've got your stuff sorted out. Takes just a few minutes. No paperwork just drop it off and you're done. Feels good to know that my recycling is actually going to be recycled or at least used rather than landfill with a major trash company's "recycling" Scheme and it doesn't cost me 25 a month to boot.

We have tried to use this recycling center since our small community quit their recycling program. EVERY TIME we have gone here, there is always one older lady near the cardboard recycling area that is yelling at everyone about how they are doing it all wrong. She has without fail verbally attacked my wife, children and myself every time we have come. There are other volunteers that are also completely horrible to the people trying to do something good by recycling, but due to horrible people here, we will never return. We chalked up the first couple interactions with the people here to them having a bad day or two, but this is just how they are!

To Allen Yoder: I have been going here for years. None of the volunteers know me by name - not a problem, I don’t expect them to. But I am mystified by your review: I have NEVER heard ANY of the volunteers yell at a patron - they have ALWAYS been helpful, even explain why/why not an item can/cannot be recycled especially the “older lady at the back by the boxes”. Keep up the great work Pro Kansas Recycling - I , for one, appreciate all you do!

There are nice volunteers that there to help and educate you about recycling. I go to this place every Saturday. It's always feel good to safe the planet from be trashy!

It's a really great service to the community, but I wish some of the volunteers would turn down their crankiness, especially towards first-timers

This is the most organized place to recycle. I just love it and the volunteers are very nice and helpful.

Another adventure marked off my bucket list. I was able to help recycle. And see the recycle place in person. It's a different experience than watching on TV.

Great volunteer-run facility. They take almost every kind of recyclable and keep it out of our landfills and oceans.

I'm glad this place exists. It's nice to take all recycling to one facility. The people are really nice and informative, and the facility is clean. Glass, plastic, paper, mixed paper, magazines, cans, tubs from cat litter and laundry detergent; it's nice to be able to take stuff to one place.

This is a great place to take your recyclables for proper disposal. It was founded by some good friends of mine. I get a great deal of satisfaction out of doing my part to save our planet, and enjoy talking with the volunteers as they help me find the right bins for my recyclables. I always feel better when I leave the recycle center!
