First off- the guy at the front desk doesn’t need to be as rude as he is. There is seriously no reason to be. I just moved to the area and haven’t updated my DL to Massachusetts also if you’re a student don’t even bother unless you’re planning to change your state DL, and they would not allow me to work out. Signed up for the 3 day pass- from what I briefly saw this place isn’t worth it. You’re better off going to Planet Fitness. I have never had someone be THAT rude. When I signed up for the pass no where did it say you needed a MA license unless it was hidden in the fine print, which admittedly I did a glance over and nothing popped up, otherwise I wouldn’t have bothered. Whoever works around 8 pm, needs an attitude check because you’re going to lose customers. I just wanted to work out and check out the gym to see if I wanted to join, and after that interaction I definitely don’t.
They've got all the equipment and weights available for a well rounded weight training routine. Plenty of cardio machines as well. It's definitely a meathead gym, but if you're a lady they have a private area to exercise as well. They keep it clean. Don't expect a luxury experience, but it serves its purpose well. I've been going here for a few years and appreciate the results I've gotten.
Staff are ok. Gym is decent. My favorite part is that it’s never too crowded- even before and after work aka peak hours. I rarely have to wait for machines or equipment which was easily my favorite part of this gym. My biggest complaint is that they are REALLY stingy when it comes to using their AC. During the summer when most places crank their AC this place leaves their door open with mostly fans and a light breeze. I felt dizzy a lot and mentioned that to the front desk frequently. Other than the summer months I really liked this place.
The worst receptionist I've ever seen in my life. He yells at clients and has no respect. I know a lot of people who have left the gym just like me. If you are thinking of joining a gym, DON'T COME TO EVERFITNESS. There the service is terrible.
The worst reception ever! There is a guy completely disrespectful with my friends and I, we are 3, and 2 of us have the plan that we can bring a friend, sometimes this friend come later, so my friend and I come to the receptio to pick him up, so this guy is very disrespectful yelling at us for 3 or 4 time saying that we have to come inside the gym together from the street, so he wants that we wait for our friend outside the gym, that's ridiculous! I already asked for the cancelation, in 10 years working out, I've never been in a situation like that, that's a shame to be in a gym where they doesn't respect you! This guy should be trained how to talk with members and guests. I'm leaving this gym because of that. RIDICULOUS!!!
Forgot to cancel membership before moving across the country, called and they said I need to show up in person or write them a letter to cancel. There's no excuse for predatory policies like that.
The gym itself is very big with all the equipment I would ever need. They also gave me a quick tour of the place upon sign-up. The cancellation process is also very smooth. I went in to cancel the membership and filled a form. I somehow got charged a fee 4 months after the cancellation, but I called and the manager refunded me the money.
You have to pay extra for the female-only section! The sexism is outrageous! Plus, the locker rooms have flickering lights and very minimal shower accessories- 1/3 of the showers are broken. I feel like I am in a college dorm.
I've been going here regularly for about four months. It has some flaws such as the weights not being cleaned daily, but it has everything that you would need to follow one of the popular programs such as 531, NSuns, etc... I am looking into other gyms, but this one is sufficient enough to provide one with whatever workout program they choose to follow. Update: It’s been about two years since I stopped going here. I stayed at the place for about three years. They called me a liar when I told them that I asked not to remove my membership because initially I put in a request to cancel due to plans to live elsewhere. I don’t recommend going here, but maybe they have changed so your mileage may vary.
Great equipment, even better staff. A private cardio area; working sauna; locker room and showers; tanning; weight training in abundance. In fact, one of the few gyms out there still stacking dumbbells up to 120lbs. An all encompassing gym. But above all, the staff supports the facility with their professionalism and kindness. 5 stars!
