A heartfelt thank you to Karen and Jacqueline for making my first circus experience as a participant, not friend, family, or fan safe, welcoming, and really fun. I dropped in to Intro to Partner Acrobatics and boy, is stacking human beings a wonderfully weird and cool thing you do! As a coach myself, I learned a lot from watching really good coaches at work. Karen and Jacqueline do a really good job of explaining and respecting both the art and science of the craft, and sharing their knowledge and expertise in a way that is inviting rather than intimidating. Everything about Esh is professional, thoughtful, compassionate, and clearly designed to be elite without being exclusive. Your fellow athletes in more "traditional" sport spaces could learn a lot from you!
Friendly, accommodating, and welcoming to kids, adult athletes, and those who have never been to the gym before. Very respectful of people's identities and pronouns, and ready to help you achieve your goals, whether that's something complicated or just to try something different and new. I've been out of shape all my life but taking classes at Esh has helped me to become strong for the first time, without any gym guilt or unhealthy pressure. I look forward to class every week, but if I have to miss, the makeup policy is generous as well. Great place run by thoughtful staff with an involved community! 2022 update: the staff really stepped up during the pandemic! As more information about COVID-19 transmission became available, Esh has adapted: online classes only at first, then new air filters, cleaning or isolation/quarantine of equipment between users, distancing/mask requirements that changed as circumstances did, and generally showing appropriate caution to prevent disease transmission. Esh is one of the few places that has felt truly low risk to visit--both cleaner and with less exposure to others in an hour-long class than in a 15-minute grocery run. 10/2022: still love taking classes here. My health has not been as good this year for other reasons and I've dropped down levels of classes, but at no point has anyone made me feel less welcome or been hesitant about teaching me--rather, different modifications and more rest time have been proactively offered. Still deeply impressed with the level of care and thoughtful adaptations provided by Esh staff.
The instructors and community are great. I love coming here. Everything does look better upside down. Masks are now optional
The classes and leadership at Esh are phenomenal. All of the instructors are interested in having you develop your circus skills in a safe environment and they keep it light and fun.
I LOVE Esh.... I have been going to Esh Circus Arts for two years. They have a gorgeous new facility, parking so awesome and hands down some of the best, dynamic, engaging and fun movement instruction I have ever taken. Their instructors are incredibly professional and well trained. They push students hard, while allowing the classes to still be light hearted and fun. And they have recently expanded their classes to include Cyr Wheel... google it, it's amazing and quite tricky! Anyway please join us!
There is a great community here and everyone is very welcoming. The classes are very fun and you learn a lot! I've only been going here for 6 months but I've already grown and improved significantly. I highly recommend!
My granddaughter had her birthday party there. Even though more uninvited older siblings kids came than were expected the staff was extremely accommodating and gracious. Though 4 year olds were the anticipated guests they were flexible enough to entertain 9 year olds. My hats are off to them for their courtesy and patience! Thanks for making my granddaughter's birthday wonderful!
I've taken Esh classes for 7 years and recommend it to almost anyone. Don't worry if you think you're not strong enough, that's what level 1 classes are for, I started there too.
