THIS COMPANY PREYS ON LOCALS!!! SHADY PRACTICES!!! ABSOLUTELY NO ALOHA!!! Due to a technicality we were swindled out of $850 worth of parking. Even the associate Ida on the line knew that it was wrong but still hard to proceed with the tragic news. Companies like this cannot continue to thrive in Hawaii. These shady practices cannot be supported, do what ever you can to avoid parking in any of their establishments.
NO ALOHA HERE. It took 1.5 months to resolve a conflict with this company. They do not care about their customers even when they do them wrong. I was issued a $40 citation for not moving my car for more than 72 hours. I had no idea this was possible because nobody told me it was a rule and there are no signs for it! They only gave me $20 back SO RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL. HORRIBLY RUN BUSINESS AVOID AT ALL COSTS
SCAMMY PARKING!! Closes at 11pm and there are no visible signs showing this, then they charge you $40 to exit the next morning.
Because I am limited and can not put my entire interactions with this shady company and their partner?, here is the brief version. Forced to use their services, and was instructed to park in a parking structure across from the hotel we were staying in. We were given instructions that had us park in stall 3-49 and after confirming this stall number, Debbie the nicest person you would ever want to have interactions with, in the most sarcastic tone EVER!!! told us, and I quite "Yes, you are good there!". Went to get the vehicle the next morning and it was gone, yep towed! When I asked the parking agent, wasn't Debbie this time, she said that that stall was for residents only!!! She new but Debbie didn't? Hard to believe unless Debbie is working in cahoots with the towing company getting a kick back, i mean I know times are tough but to flat out lie, that is low. Basically I was stuck with paying $30 for a ride to the shadiest tow lot I have ever seen and then pay another $220 CASH ONLY they must not be paying taxes to the City, County or State!!! and that makes it easier for them to give Debbie her finders fee. The lovely lady that I finally was able to speak with at Propark basically told me that Debbie told you to not park there! What no she didn't she is lying to you but again a company with no integrity will do whatever is needed to make a buck, who knows maybe Ida is on the take as well, or maybe the entire company is. There were actually two of us towed that night Debbie was working which really makes me think she purposefully told us to park in the wrong spot and then let the security company know and made a quick buck. What made it worse is when we picked the car up, there was a warning on the vehicle but we were never notified nor was there any note at the parking lot attendant. We received a map/pass from Debbie that she scribbled our info on, so why didn't they contact Propark when the warning was issues especially since they knew we belonged to the hotel about 200 feet away??? Easy answer, they didn't notify us because then we wouldn't have gotten towed and Debbie wouldn't had made a little extra cash!!! STAY AWAY IF AT ALL POSSIBLE or at least record your interactions with the attendants especially Debbie as she will bold face flat out lie to you!!!
If I could give 0 stars I would. I drove all the way to downtown Honolulu to talk about an unfairly given ticket. They didn’t even let me in, they talked to me outside and told me if I needed help that I needed to do it online. Do not waste your time coming to this place. They are extremely rude and if you have a citation you need appealed, don’t waste your time and gas and just go do it online. Horrible customer service. They get so annoyed when you’re in there. Isn’t that what they get paid for, though? Customer service? It makes no sense.
Unfortunately the organization and management of the company is not great. Workers are not well informed of the companies own policies and costs. The company does not seem to train their employees well or set them up for success. There is a lot of incorrect information given out that contradicts itself. Trying to get help from them or a clear answer is nearly impossible. Hopefully the company can improve but it seems like the people in charge don’t care much to try. The parking garages themselves are fine. They are well lit and clean.
Couldn't find a zero star option, but ProPark is awful. The first time using the parking lot I was charged $150 $30 per night, essentially for the whole 5 days I was yet to spend at the Aqua at Island Colony. At first it was laughable. "Guess we'll be parking here all week", I said, "since we just paid for it". I didn't actually mind initially, because the hotel is built right on top of it. Day 2, the ticket disappeared from my dash tray somehow I have 2 kids, it happens. The replacement fee is $50. Yeah, no thanks. I've already paid $150 for something that even the crappiest hotels offer for free. We'll see if I can get refunded for the days that I surely won't be parking at this scam lot, but I'm not holding my breath.
I was dropping off my mom to an acupuncture clinic at the old Heald college building on Kapiolani blvd. UpoN leaving, the parking attendant tells me there’s no grace period for dropping off or picking up! That’s ridiculous! I am not paying just to drop off or pick up. All parking lots I been to always has a 10-15 mins grace period. This was the only parking lot I ever known in 35 years who charges for drop off or pick up. What happens if a driver is delivering groceries or meals? Like Instacart or Doordash/UberEats? They got to pay? Insane! It’s good if all stores provide validation but I think that’s waste of money for drop off and pick up. And I know those validations ain’t cheap. So because of this situation, I had to ask my mom, a 75 year old handicap to walk around to the back of Walgreens just to pick her up. Owner of this parking lot needs to give a grace period for drop off and pick up. Seriously.
Does not deserve even one star! I have been visiting Hawaii multiple 18 + times since 1995 and this change in parking at the Aqua Aston Sunset is the WORST! It holds you hostage to times and forces one to not enjoy what visiting here is all about. Even the first day, the PAID ticket would not work correctly. Kept saying expired and had not been 24 hours since arriving and paying at that machine inside. Very frustrating and gives a 'bad ' mood about it all. One does not leave at the same time every day; so that process is the worst for Aloha! The old way of having it paid on one's room bill, with ticket taped to window worked great. What person decided to make a 'mess' of a system that worked for the visitor has messed things up. There is no more money to be made even when attached to hotel/condo bill. JUST INCREASED FRUSTRATION! Also, while one is trying to deal with getting out, traffic is blocked for others attempting to exit. Not an easy fix when something goes wrong! Unsure if new owner of this property or if accounting of funds played a roll in this change. To make those visiting responsible for any possible issues involving such is bad for business and reviews! I hope management at the Aqua Aston will revert back to the system in place for years for the benefit and good vibes of their guests!
We have a unit at the Ilikai Marina so we go there often. They are usually okay but today the lady that was working was awful. She grabbed my ticket and say kay..No Thank-you or goodbye. What's worse is when I called the company to complain. The man that I spoke to was trying to talk over me. He also asked me her name. He never apologized not once but told me he would talk to her. Very unprofessional.
