Providence Place Parking Garage

You have to pay ... but the rates aren't bad for downtown Providence and it's the only place that makes sense if you're doing any major mall shopping. Lots of upscale stores and good restaurant choices means you're likely to be parked for a while, but the garage is well monitored and safe.

Lots of spaces and parking assist system. There are signs and lights all over the garage to tell you where the empty spots are. First two hours are free. There is a north and south parking garage.

This place is a total rip-off for monthly parking. They charged a $10 late fee for being late by a day, that too because their system doesn't notify any declined payments.

Love shopping at this Mall. It's beautiful. A mere 6.5 miles from the MacColl Field YMCA. No bike rack. Easy to access by public transportation. Parking is no fun but at the present the first two hours are free. I'd rather go there by bus and not have to deal with tickets, finding a spot, paying the fee, finding car, and finding the way out.

Money hole, unprofessional business & Absolutely disgusting staff. If I could give negative stars I would. Every contact with their office is like pulling teeth. Every staff is completely miserable. I gave a letter of employment to get a monthly pass to the office and they lost it and were rude to me like it was my fault, made me come back during their convienence with another. Now I pay a lot of money for a monthly pass (because I work in the mall and parking is not free for staff) and their system can read your license plate and let you in and out. I left my pass at home and was dropping my boyfriend off for work so I was probably in the garage 10 minutes max. They allow cars to park for free when parked for less than two hours. When I went to leave the garage the device wouldn’t read my plate and I was screamed at by one of their young staff. He yelled to the long line of cars behind me that I was trying to get out “with someone else’s” pass. All because I left my pass home. I offered ID, registration and he just screamed at me to reverse and go downstairs to their office to have my information verified like as if I was stealing my own car. I was so upset he accused me of such actions the situation escalated and the staff just made it worse. No manager, no back up, just an idiot kid acting like a parking space is homeland security. They let people out for less, again they scan the plate and as long as it’s under 2 hours which I was they let you go always !! So I went to leave the main office exit and it scanned, let me go. I called the office and spoke with the manager who again was an incompetent tool, the blind leading the blind. He basically offered me to cancel my membership and did not apologize or speak professionally in any manner. Needless to say, PARK ELSEWHERE.
