This place is amazing! The team here is so helpful. I love the concept of helping students learn how to work on their bikes and providing the tools to fix their mode of transportation.
Got a bike from here yesterday. Just a wonderful staff! The bikes I looked at were sold at a lower price than the retailer/manufacturer price possibly because it's a university bike shop. I test rode the bike at three occasions before purchasing it, and they made me feel welcome every single time!! PSU students, staff, and faculty get 15% off on all extras!
This bike shop is amazing! I came in looking for a new bike after crashing my old one. They let me test ride the floor model of the bike I wanted. They also built the bike I got for me the same day. Also, they were really nice. Thank you!
Nice staff and great selection of bikes. Great spot for repairs and maintenance!
Friendly staff, and some of the best service prices in town. If they don't have what you're looking for in stock they can either order it or point you in the right direction onnwhere to find it. Even if you're not affiliated with PSU they still offer helpful services to get you on your bike and they promote having a friendly and inclusive bike community. I still visit the shop even after graduating from the University.
I brought my bike in here for an overhaul recently lots of long deferred routine maintenance was needed and I was really impressed with all aspects of the service. Quality of work was excellent, all the interactions I had with the people there were awesome, and the price on parts and labor was low. New to living downtown and far away from my regular neighborhood bike shop at the time, I took my bike in to Bike Gallery last year for the same kind of "overhaul" and the difference between PSU Bike Hub and Bike Gallery is really night and day. If you want to pay through the nose for not-so-great work, go ahead and take your bike in to Bike Gallery! If that doesn't sound like your thing, I'd recommend these guys. I'll be going back for all my bike-related needs for as long as I'm living close by. Atmosphere in the shop is inviting; people there are friendly, helpful, and informative; prices are very reasonable. They call themselves mechanics, but I'm pretty sure they're actually sorcerers or something... they breathed new life into a bike that was very nearly dead. It rides better now than it ever has, I think.
I bought a bike that needed some serious help and I had no clue how to work on the bike. The staff was amazingly helpful and if they didn't know how to do something they weren't proud enough to ask their colleagues. I will continue to go back to get my back tuned up or just for questions. If you are a PSU student, you need to stop in. If you aren't, they have memberships for a year for only $50. You will save way more by working on your bicycle yourself. Plus you will be able to impress all your friends!
Been going here for almost 5 years now and I've always had great experiences. They tried to true my today but it was too badly damaged so I got a new one swapped pretty quickly. My only request would be that the alumni membership still came with the discount.
They are so nice. They helped me changed my pedals to clip in’s as I’m new to the whole bike world and made it easy to make it in before work. I will for sure be making this the my go to place I go for bike needs. Thank you PSU bike hub!
Great quality bike supplies at solid prices. Knowledgeable staff. They helped me install the accessories I bought. Definitely go here!
