Had a great Thursday night dinner at Pumpkin! I was surprised at how small the space was, and although it could probably do with a remodel to spruce the interior up, our meal was delicious and the experience stellar. Service was fast and congenial, and each dish we tried was super tasty. I appreciated Pumpkin being BYOB as well. Would recommend a visit.
Charming!!! 3 courses dinner with every day changing menu, intimate atmosphere and great service! On top of that it’s BYOB what could be better?! I highly recommend and would definitely be back. P.S. you might want to make a reservation ahead of time cause spacing is very limited.Food: 5/5
We had a delightful date night dinner at Pumpkin! The food was incredibly tasty. We are both vegetarian and the soup and pasta were both fantastic would have preferred the soup be a little thicker, but the flavor was wonderful and we would happily have it again! The pasta tasted homemade and had such an amazing sauce. Likewise, the dessert option we both got was so tasty! The service was wonderful. We had a funny, attentive server who made our experience great. We were in an outside table in a COVID-era outdoor semi-building, which is why I gave the atmosphere 3 stars. The decor in these is nice and the heater worked great for keeping us warm, but there is no music and it’s distracting having loud buses rushing past and seeing taillights getting closer and closer to my husband as a car parallel parks in the spot right on the other side of a flimsy wall from where we are sitting. We will definitely eat here again and will plan to make an indoor reservation to hopefully improve the ambiance experience next time around! Highly recommend this restaurant! Vegetarian options: As a prie fixe menu, there are limited options to begin with. For each course, there are 3-4 options, at least one of which is vegetarian. Because the menu changes regularly, it may not be a great choice for a picky vegetarian who wants multiple options. If you like most things, I would feel confident that you will get a delicious vegetarian meal here at Pumpkin!
Pumpkin continues to be an under-appreciate gem of the neighborhood. As we’ve come to expect, we enjoyed another beautiful and delicious meal there last night. I had the chilled corn soup with peppercorn Chantilly. While it could have used a tiny bit of salt, it was so tasty I couldn’t stop eating it. I spread some of the Chantilly cream on bread - yum!!! My spouse had the white asparagus with yuzu. I got a taste and understood why I only got a taste; it was bright and crisp - Summer on a plate. She had the strip steak, cooked ideally with wonderful kale and shallots, and I the wahoo with arugula. Both were beautifully seasoned and cooked - would happily eat either again right now! Had to take out desserts to go - olive oil cake with yogurt and strawberries for me, chocolate tort for her - as we were too full. Expect as the summer gets going and I feel even less like cooking we will be hitting them up for their amazing value Tues - Thurs Chef’s Dinners - can’t wait!
We went for restaurant week and had a great experience. I had the beet salad and my husband had shrimp escabeche. Both were very tasty with great flavor. My husband had the Zucca pasta with lentils, he doesn’t even like lentils but the flavor was so great he loved it. I had the salmon and it was perfect with a great sauce. We both had the chocolate torte and it was the best desert I have had in a long time. I will dream about this dessert. We were nervous to try this place because the menu looked to gourmet for my husband. We loved every bite.
Good food, good service. Calling the outdoor seating "heated" feels like a lie. They do have heaters, but I was in my jacket and hood up and still freezing. If you wanna visit, wait for an inside table.
I had a pretty great experience with my girlfriend and family on a Friday night - they were able to get us inside as the outside became fairly windy. Great food, good service - very pleasant and not a bad price at all. The only improvement could be the outdoors structure but apparently they are improving that soon too.
PHENOMENAL. That’s an understatement for this sustainable farmer and fisherman oriented restaurant. This is like food from a tv show contest. The chefs are showcasing their skills and pushing the limits of flavors to impress. Basil on a fish dish and they make it work well. Try this out. Great date spot. Usually $50 for a 3 course daily changing menu.
Pumpkin is such a great spot! My friend and I had a lovely experience there. The food and atmosphere are so nice. The service was very good! The food was excellent. A perfect fall evening. We will definitely be back!
