I've been to a half dozen parties hosted at Pure Space. Every one has been phenomenal, but I think that is a function of the party planners. Still, the space allows for a huge variety of layouts.
I booked Pure Space for a company event for over 400 people that I was in charge of pulling off. They made it easy to plan and let me check in on the set up. I held my breath walking in, and oh my goodness they did not disappoint! The huge windows and up lighting were impressive and beautiful. Our guests didn't seem to have an issue finding parking which was my main concern. I would recommend this space to anyone throwing a corporate event who values making an impression on their guests.
Interesting event location - our company hosted an event here a few months ago. The lighting was nice and I did enjoy the acoustics and layout/decoration of the event itself. Took me a good minute to figure out where the restrooms were! Not sure if that was the event spaces issue or the coordinators issue but made a girl real nervous for a second!
We didn't wind up going with this venue but the guy helping us was amazing and professional. He gave us a tour of the places he had and made us feel super at ease about a rather daunting task of booking a spot for a funeral. "Celebration of life". This was absolutely our next pick if our original plans fell through and they were about to fall through but we had a last minute save. Again, super helpful and we will likely use Pure Space for our next event. Hopefully a wedding rather than...
Beautiful venue, lots of space and very nice natural lighting. Nice location in the Pearl district with things to do nearby, including a really cool public park/ playground. Good sound system as well.
I’m two blocks down from this venue, have noise canceling headphones on and a white noise app blasting through them, and I can still hear the bass from Pure Space. It’s 2:00AM. The response I got from whomever is running their Facebook page is the best. “I’m sure you have the wrong number Karen.” Very professional.
Pure Space is an incredible venue! The large windows and vastness of the building allow you the flexibility to create whatever kind of space you desire. We love working with the staff at Pure Space and West Coast, and truly value our partnership. Their customer service and attention to detail is unparalleled. They are easy to work with, and always go above and beyond to create a unique experience for their clients. I can't say enough about them, they are simply the best.
Pure Space turned out to be a great venue for our annual auction. Although Flex Space turned out to be a bit small with almost 350 people, Pure Space was plenty big for the same amount. The onsite crew during our event were all fantastic. Matt Brodeur was extremely helpful and went over the top to ensure a smooth and successful event. It might be a good idea to have West Coast explain exactly who the different contacts for your event are. Venue manager, rental manager, sound/av manager, etc., it was a lot to keep straight; we had some issues with response time and as an event planner, I know things get hectic but communication is key to building a relationship with customers. We didn't love that the owner came by during our set up unannounced to tour the venue with a perspective customer and never introduced himself.
This is a nice spacious event space. I love going to a place like this and knowing that I can find parking nearby. There was lots of room here at the event we attended. I would gladly come back.
They offered to donate this location for a fundraiser event. I had tried several times to meet up to do a contract. several times he never showed up. He would answer the phone for his employees but with my team there waiting for him he would never answer the phone for me. He stated his daughter was in town and that was the reason he never showed up to meet up with me. He did state at the start of all this he would charge us for chairs tables employees to be there for the event and for the electricity and stuff he said it would not be more than $4000 for our out of pocket costs. Sadly the NIGHT before the event he then made all these changes and wanted to then go from $4000 for the event to $7000 for the event. I had to cancel the event since we did not have that much money for this event. He also waited until the last second to get us the layout for the vendors to set up at the event. Which my gal had me contact him several times to get the map layout to us so we can set it up and then e mail it back to him. He then waited until the last second to do that also. Sadly he obviously had too much on his plate to take on a fundraiser event. We then had to call all our vendors and let them know what happened with this event and that we had to cancel. Then in return my vendors are calling me because they also called the venue and stated that the venue stated that we thought we could not raise the money and that is why we cancelled the event. Which was NOT true. We had to refund all our vendors all their money and sadly the fundraiser ended up not making any money at all and sadly we lost money ourselves because we ended up putting alot of time and money into this event. We had over 100 t shirts and sweatshirts made with the fundraiser event with the fundraiser name on the front and then the bands that were scheduled to perform on the back of all of them. We also paid for advertising for this event along with banners being made for the event we put alot of printed advertising into this event with post cards for our vendors to hand out along with posters for the bands that were booked for this event to have them post up. We were on the local news stations. This was an event that was scheduled for last year. It ended up making us look bad as a fundraiser event because sadly the owner was not willing to meet with us to get this on an even playing ground until the day before the event. In the end the children we were raising the money for they were the ones who lost the most in the end. I might have lost a few thousand dollars by what I put into this event. I know they do alot of business events with big companies but for fundraisers I would look at other venue locations. It just ended on a sad note all the way around.
