Came here around 1pm on a Saturday and were able to get seated right away. The place is very cute with live plants decor and has a number of healthy food options! I got the vegan bowl with sweet potatoes and loved it! If you aren’t vegan adding an egg to it will also taste amazing! Highly recommend, will be backFood: 5/5
Had brunch here today and not only was the food amazing as always but the service was amazing. I had a cute little visitor in my food today, a little slug, and they promptly replaced my food and comped my meal. It also spoke to how fresh and local the ingredients were and of course I didn’t mind, but appreciated the service. Have had drinks here before and it’s always a great time with good drinks and vibes.
Excellent meal. Shared three small plates plus the brioche French toast. We couldn't decide which dish was our favorite! Delicious flavors and stylish plating. Staff and service are wonderful and made us feel right at home. Very glad we dined here!Food: 5/5
A Brunch Oasis in Portland: Bar West Nails It If you're tired of predictable brunch fare, Bar West is your answer. Nestled in NW Stumptown, this cozy spot's vibrant atmosphere instantly set the mood for a perfect start to my weekend. Their menu offers delightful twists on classics. I had to try the West Wich Sandwich – a masterpiece of a fried egg, juicy Applewood sausage, vibrant kale, and a spicy tomato jam that brought everything together, all piled on a pillowy brioche roll with melted cheddar. Talk about flavor fireworks! My friend couldn't resist the Proper Breakfast. Thick slabs of smoky bacon, perfectly cooked eggs, award-winning Dos Hermano's sourdough toast, and those incredible Calabrian potatoes... brunch goals right there. Ask for a side of their homemade Habenero sauce mind-blowingly sweet-hot creeper! Of course, mimosas are mandatory. However, we opted for Smith Bergamot tea and VERY good coffee. Wines by the glass don't disappoint. And the service? Impeccable, adding to the whole experience. The music is just too loud enough to keep your shoulders rolling to the 70s R&B jams! If you want a Portland brunch with incredible food, delightful drinks, and a warm, welcoming vibe, Bar West won't disappoint. Trust me, it's the proper way to start your weekend.
I am so glad I came here!!! We sat at the bar. Taylor was the bartender and she served the best drinks!! She was so fun and friendly. I ordered two drinks that were on the menu stumptown martini and humbug bramble and one off the menu that Taylor made up. All very delicious! For food I had a half order of the pancakes and the buttermilk fried chicken. Also delicious! Between the food and Taylor's great service and talent as a cocktail crafter, I will definitely be back.
