I had taken a Kundalini Yoga Session at Pure. It has a very spa like ambience that can easily pass for a peaceful sanctuary. The instructor was very kind, effective, and competent at her subject. The studio has mats, towels and all props ready for the class. Everything is laid out as you enter the class. A unique set-up. I would definitely try more classes here to get a better perspective.
I love the hot classes because they're challenging and I always leave class feeling energized. The decor is very calming and they have magazines around that you can flip through before class or after class with a cool eucalyptus towel. The shower and locker rooms are well stocked with shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion - everything you would need after a shower. At Pure Yoga you're not just paying for the great classes and teachers, but also for the fantastic amenities they provide, which in my opinion, is worth it. An added bonus is the free wifi.
A friend had a guest pass, so I came here for a hot yoga class. Wow! The locker room was huge with all the amenities necessary to get yourself cleaned up after the class including towels and vanity items. The hot yoga room had all spots set up with nonslippery mats, a block and a towel. They also provided a wet towel to refresh yourself during the class. I've also heard they have 6 studios that continuously run classes all day. I really liked our teacher Julia, she made the class very challenging but in a good way, without any pressure if you can't do certain poses I can't do any arm balance exercises properly. The only issue is price. It's very expensive. Oh well, I'll stick to my local yoga studio where I can buy classes on the need basis.
The location is easy to get to and the studio and amenities are the best! The instructors, front desk and modifications in classes are the bad part. I did a Barre class in the West Side and it was awesome. I try the East side and it didn’t have that natural quality “I’m helping you to get the most out of this class”. I wouldn’t come back because I did not get modifications in my class and I was not the only one feeling this way.
Yogis rejoice and welcome to your heaven. Pure is serene, clean, and offers a variety of different classes at various levels. I was impressed with an acrobatic yoga class I took with my husband who became so smitten with yoga, that he now takes it 4 times a week! Besides yoga, they now also offer a few barre based classes. The membership plans can seem a bit confusing, but the staff is extremely helpful and will assist you to pick the right plan and suggest some good classes to meet your needs.
Amazing, challenging barre class. The instructor was good and pushed all. The other people in the class seemed serious about their workout but good spirited as well. The facility was lovely--showers, towels, Kiel's lotion for face and body as well as nice shampoo and soaps in the very clean shower. I would love to go back here!
A great studio, best I have ever seen. Teacher was awful. flakey and basically at times told the class to do whatever they wanted. Was constantly looking at her watch. It was a hot power yoga class, Dec 23 6pm shift. I cannot believe the company invested so much in the facilities only to skimp on hiring a proper teacher. The desk staff were also very inattentive, talking amongst themselves as customers approached and a little too relaxed. Pure Yoga - you need some serious staff training and teacher selection processes!
One can always find a great teacher here and a great place which to learn quality yoga! I have been to many many yoga places before but nothing compares to this bright and clean studio that has multi rooms and floors. Pure is modern and the location cannot be beat. This is a must go to for yoga folks!
Pure West staff are the worst and the reason I am quitting the studio after only one year. They are condescending -- particularly the general manager of the studio -- and not at all member accommodating. My experience at Pure has not been pleasant as a result. One time, they didn't let me into a yoga class that I had already pre-registered for because on their clock not mine, I was one minute late. They also refused to let my friend into a class because she was a few minutes late. She was trying out the studio but will not be joining as a result. Another friend is also quitting after five years with Pure -- partly due to the staff. What's very odd is that the staff at Pure East is 100% the opposite. My advice is to only go to Pure East if you are interested in this studio. Don't even bother with Pure West -- go to YogaWorks instead if you are on the west side. Much nicer and empathetic staff.
Jack was welcoming and let me know membership options. The front desk staff was welcoming and inviting, but not in a fake overly happy way. Isaac led an amazing vinyasa class offering intelligent sequence of postures and hands on assists that melted my body into alignment and depth.
