Unreal experience. Waited fifteen minutes past my appointment time for them to tell me they didn’t have a lab order for me, which the doctor generated digitally. “Our system doesn’t process those.” Cool. I have it on my phone. “We have to have it printed out.” Cool. Let me use your printer or email it to you. “Our printer is broken. You have to fax it.” Get someone to fax it immediately. “It takes 30 minutes to an hour for us to get a fax.” In what world. That was the magic of faxing in the 1980s. Instant paper. The folks were doing their best, I’m sure, but it was corporate cost cutting to an extreme, and I as a patient paid dearly for it with my time and my dime. “WE DO NOT VALIDATE PARKING” displayed with enemy combant rage on their front door. Going to labcorp next time. Can’t be any worse, right.
I almost felt like being discriminated against today. I went in for a blood test appointment with my doctor’s order. I usually need to lay down a few minutes after blood test to prevent passing out. Before I booked the appointment, I took the time to read through reviews and saw several recommendations for blood test at this location that encouraged me to book the appointment with this location. My husband took his morning off from work to accompany me to the test. However, the healthcare professional refused to do my test after I specifically told her that my husband is outside and will assist me after the test if needed. We wasted one hour at the waiting area, had to pay for parking without getting any test done, and what’s worse is the healthcare provider trying to ice us out throughout the visit.
I went here for some blood work, and could not have had a better visit. I checked in as a walk-in, and only waited about 15 minutes. Once I was called back, I was in and out in less than 10 minutes, if I had to guess. I was helped by an Alexis, and she was super friendly, and incredibly efficient at everything. I asked a few questions, and she had super quick answers, that absolutely left the feeling more comfortable. Prior to this, I'd had a bad experience at a different clinic with some blood tests, so I was wary of the whole process, but this visit has changed my mind. Next time I need any work done, Quest is the first place I'm looking.
I've been to this location several times. As long as you have an appointment highly encouraged!, you're in and out in no time. I'm made it back to my car before the 30 minute threshold for free parking in the deck. Justine is the BEST - very thoughtful and kind, and super professional. I'm not the best patient for a phlebotomist, but she helps make the process smooth and easy. It can be hard to find the location inside the hospital. I asked the hospital's guest services desk for directions.
Was told by my doctor that my order was sent and I could WALK IN anytime before 4:30 today. Made it to the office at 3 o’clock and there was nobody there to answer the door. Not even a direct line to the location. Completely inconsiderate and disrespectful of others time.
I was in and out before my appt time. They were great
Went twice with appointments spread over 2 weeks, they apparently don’t have the blood pressure guy each time. No way to connect to the office to confirm if they do
I had a lovely experience with Kim and Mrs. Phillis. They were both very kind and prompt!
I didn’t have an appointment and was in and out in 5 minutes. Staff was very friendly. The person that did my blood draw was very skilled and professional, and I barely felt it. It’s a little difficult to get there if you drive since it is within the Emory hospital complex, but a previous review posted by Suraj Nair had detailed instructions on how to get there.
Here for blood work, checked in via mobile link, in and out in no time 15mins-20mins. Midtown traffic can be bad though so plan ahead. Visited multiple times. Always -Friendly staff and overall good experience.
