Didn't really know this place existed so wasn't really expecting a lot. The atmosphere is that of an old train depot that is connected to an antique store. The food is straight forward with not a lot of frills. Our food came out quickly, hot, and correct. In fact the meat was a little over cooked but not burnt, they just need to turn their grill down a little bit. We did ask for a side of ranch but the pre-packaged ones they gave us were expired so we didn't get to use them. All in all the food was delicious but absolutely no frills. I plan on coming back to try their lunch menu. Kid-friendliness: Saw kids when we were there and they have a limited kid menu. Parking: They have metered street parking or there is a parking garage at the end of the block. Wheelchair accessibility: It would be very difficult for a wheelchair to get around here. Dietary restrictions: If I was a vegetarian I wouldn't be able to find a lot to eat here, at least for breakfast.
Vegan food and trains?? Sign me up! But seriously the food was outstanding and the staff was awesome. It is one of the better vegan breakfast foods I have eaten. They aren't an all vegan restaurant but they have an incredible vegan menu that is affordable, filling, and will make your taste buds do a little happy dance. Definitely worth a stop.
This used to be one of our favorite places. The vegan options have always been delicious. Unfortunately, this morning we received our food with a plastic food prep glove in the sauce. Accidents happen but do better. The experience sadly ruined our appetite for this once enjoyed restaurant. This is a serious health concern!
Brunch time was a bit busy. Food was cold when served and brought only after we asked the waiter to check on our order. Poor service. Self service for coffee and even water. They only had plastic cutlery not because of COVID. Wouldn't go back again.Dine in: YesOutdoor seating: NoTakeout: YesDelivery: No
We were the only ones in that had not gotten food. I ordered biscuits and gravy and my husband ordered an omelet. We got our food within 15 minutes and noticed that the home fries were burnt. My gravy looked like water. I took one bite and the biscuit was not cooked. I cut another piece to have my husband try and there was hair in the gravy. Staff members were all sitting down visiting with each other and never came to check on us. We were so discouraged and hope This doesn't happen to someone else.
The wait to get food was long. The steak was overcooked. The scramble egg doesn't look appetititive. Okay place for old fashion breakfast but won't be my top choice. The omelet was good.
The food is great and comes out quick. I really like the antiques next door. Great place all around.
We were seated promptly. Staff was friendly and helpful. The restaurant building was pretty neat to look around in. I had an omelet, potatoes and toast. My food was hot and very good. Large portions for a reasonable price.
We like to support small business but this place was ehhh at best. The cashier seemed to be going out of her way to be rude and unpleasant. I was in line for coffee and she asked me, in front of everyone, if I had a table, which I did. I'm assuming she wanted to send me back to the "wait to be seated area" which she avoided and complained about. She audibly complained pretty much the whole time. The half and half for coffee was a big carton they kept in a cooler, but I didn't ask the grumpy one for it once it was put back in the cooler, it didn't seem worth it. Our table was dirty and sticky, even after being wiped down. There was an older lady she wasn't old, I just don't have another distinguishing factor - sorry! working her tail off and was pleasant. My bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich came out without bacon, but the older lady made it right. Our food tasted decent, but I hate places that have you tip when you order - aren't tips supposed to be for good service? I did tip, and my husband gave cash directly to the older lady.
The atmosphere is quaint but a little rugged. The food was excellent. Kid really enjoyed the Avocado toast. Vegan in our group was thrilled with the French toast a hard-to-find option for vegans. Food is the star with drinks being an afterthought. Vegetarian options: There is an entire vegan menu.
