Delusional prices—you can get a six pack of Asian Buddha beer for $12, they were selling individual empty bottles for $21 a piece! Also, I overheard a shouting match in the streets and then went in to shop while waiting for my to go order. An employee was blocking the door, and then let us into a claustrophobic store crowded with junk. They didn’t have any unique wax steak stamps, she struggle to show me an item that I declined and then she became defensive over a question I asked.. when I was leaving the store, they laid out a parking cone in the street and told me “it is hard to find parking“. I realized it was the same people who were threatening to sue a man over a parking spot in front of their store.
BEWARE OF THIS LADY! So many FAKE items inside! If I could give this lady less then 1 star I most definitely would! She was the rudest, and pushiest shop owner I have ever met. Everything in the store was a “Rare Find!” Way over priced items, that were mostly fake. The store had so many things inside you couldn’t move around very easy! Signs all over “You break it, Consider it bought” So do not take your children in there and be very careful with your bags. She did not like it if you were looking at something and she would come over start telling you things about it and you knew more than she did about the items. All her items had a story she would make up about it. I would definitely not recommend this place to anyone. Beware of this Place!
This lady is a scam artist. We found her store when we went out exploring. Lady claimed the ring was a solid rose gold ring along with opals and white sapphires. My boyfriend now fiance asked her point blank that the tarnish concerned him that it wasn't a solid rose gold ring and that can they clean it. She said she could if we brought it first, she sweared it was a solid rose gold and that she has been in business for over 20 years. We stepped out the new research on if rose gold tarnishes and it said it did. Ended up purchasing a piece because I really loved it, but she never cleaned it. Afterward I had to get the ring sized and our jeweler back home said it was silver just rose gold plated.. Was able to clean it up and only when it was cleaned up, did we see the 925 stamp. I wish I would have thought of it but I did a Google lens search and was able to find the same exact ring for 50 bucks versus her $500 less price.. I still love the ring as my fiance proposed with it but she tarnished the experience.
If I could give this place less than 1 star I would! The store has some neat lookin things especially when the owner presents them as unique but they are not!! My friend bought a gift of what we were told was a unique map which the owner claimed she had only ever seen 2 of in her time. Later in the day after purchasing the map we walked by the store to see the same exact map hanging up. I confronted the owner about her shady business to which she denied all claims even though the evidence was right in front of her face! This is the worst kind of store and she is the worst kind of person. I will never recommend and further warn other visitors of New Orleans to not shop here as she is a fraud and a terrible person!!!
Neat store to walk around. It has alot of cool things. I bought a poster. I loved that I was speaking to the owner directly as I shopped.
Immediately walked into hatefulness from rude owner too the KKK material there selling. It took only 30 seconds to know that I needed to go!
Awful experience, some neat stuff in there sure but she has it so cramped you can't move an is very hateful person with bad attitude about got cussed out! Would not recommend avoid a cost judging some other reviews she is a scam artist as well lies about authenticity and age of items so beware!
There are many beautiful items in the store and the owner is very helpful. However, some items are undoubtedly fake. An antique “one of a kind” garnet poison ring was selling for $135 but the exact ring can be found at Walmart for $17. I’m glad I did my research! Beware!
I recently bought what I was told was an antique men's gold and sapphire ring from this store. When purchasing the ring I even asked the sales person who was also the owner point blank if the stone was real and was informed it was. Well it turns out the sapphire is actually blue glass and I've even gotten a formal appraisal to that effect. The owner in spite of the overwhelming evidence refuses to believe that the ring is fake and allow me to return the ring for a refund. I have been forced to dispute the charges for this ring with my credit card company. Needless to say I will never shop here again and if you are smart neither will you.
I bought an antique hat-pin that is sterling silver and absolutely beautiful. Although the store was 1 minute from closing-time, the sales lady was friendly and patient with me and my husband! That's a rare find.
