I have seen many a doctor but this was a trip in time. Not a modern office. Not connected to Mychart or to any electronic data health records. They still Fax everything1 They do not have email. You have to write out your entire health history in ink. About 20 pages for a new patient. They asked me to bring them in paper copies of my health records. Not realizing it is at least a 5 drawer full Filing cabinet full of Paper. They did not like the DVD I brought of my old MRI's. Refused to put the DVD in their computer. They have a computer but seem to use it for a clock. It is like walking into the 1980's, One Receptionist/ Bookkeeper/ secretary, Mary. Mary has an attitude. All business not even a smile. She is a model of efficiency, helpful within parameters. and all work and no play. No flexibility either. As for the doctor, I came there for my degenerative neuropathy and he was mainly concerned about my rare seizure disorder which are well controlled. Sorry I mentioned it. Dr R. Wanted to "Test my nerves". Upper and lower. I have no lower problems, only my left pinky finger is numb from a herniated disc in my neck. There is no fix for my condition. So I needed an update as to what is happened in my neck. On the initial visit, no exam No simple reflex or motor tests. Just an interview then he ordered tests, some of which I did not need and he did not order the MRI of my spine I asked for three times. I had to go back in his office before leaving. and ask him again for the MRI. This Doctor is set in his ways and does not listen well. He made an audio recording, yes an audio recording of his interview notes and got 25% of it wrong. i only went to him because every other Neurologist is booked up for months and my need is urgent to get an MRI .So I will get my MRI next week and go back to my regular Neurologist for my neuropathy. Also I asked for Physical therapy for my left hand''s Neuropathy. My problem is in my spine/ neck. So he scheduled me for Carpel tunnel syndrome therapy of the wrist. He does not listen and you can not interrupt him. You must wait until he finishes his paragraph and then correct him. If you need to corrct him on more than one thing. Start over. Use him for quick tests but do not let him touch you. He is not a quack but he is very out of date and out of touch with modern science.
I have been working with Dr. Ravichandran since last November for a neurological based issue with my eye. I found him to be extremely thorough and knowledgeable, a good listener, very attentive to my concerns and questions and willing to spend the time needed to address my concerns and come up with a plan. His office manager and receptionist may come off as a bit serious and stand offish at first. However, she has been extremely helpful in working with me to set up additional followup tests and appointments and her follow through has been excellent.
I was seen by Dr. Ravichandran on 3 occasions, all 3 times were awful. I would not recommend him to anyone, nor would I even give him 1 star. He was 45 minutes late for my appointment, had food stains on his shirt, his office looks like a messy storage locker, his front receptionist shows no concern for quality customer service, he called me the wrong name, discussed another patient's medical issue with his receptionist in front of me during my appointment, and his ability to comprehend and speak English is minimal. I left his office feeling more confused, scared, and concerned for my health than before the visit.
Clearly and absolutely the worst of the doctors out there. My elderly mother accompanied me to my visit to this alleged fraudulant doctor. Ravishandran"s English is so bad my mother couldn't" understand him. He started yelling and speaking a horrible slang Spanish to my mother who is from here born in Texas. He is in my opinion completely incapable of doing hiscalled hope you see these reviews before you see him. If someone reccomends you to him you can bet someone doesn't know this so called doctor. He is certainly the worse of the worse. Two words.STAY AWAY!
Venting.. I went to my neurologist appointment today to see Dr. Ravichardran I had to bring my two children 12, 2 "single mom with no support" I took my two year old back with me. While the Dr. Was talking my son started crying, the Dr started yelling at my baby and telling my son to shut up. I was so upset that I left before I got to tell him about the pain I was having in my knees and the burning and numbness feeling I get off in on in my leg. Now I have to try to find a new neurologist.this isn't the first time he had a outburst on me. I really shouldn't have went back to see him.
The most unprofessional clinic I have ever had to deal with. If you are ever referred to this doctors office or are looking for a neurologist DO NOT GO TO DR RAVACHANDRIN. From the staff to the doctor this place is garbage.
He is a mess. He will see you for 5 minutes and send you on your way. I was trying to explain something to him and he gave me a candy bar
I don’t recommed him to any patient and the staff are not professional
